Rhaenyra crying alone after begging her father to defend her breaks my heart. You can tell when she's covering her face and in tears that she regrets leaving King's Landing for so long, not being there for him as he grew worse with illness. I love this show so much.

rhaenyra crying at the end is even more heartbreaking bc it really conveys how painful it is to be at the side of a loved one whose illness has progressed to the point that they do not recognize you.

This scene is so emotionally deep. The atmosphere, sharing her fears to her father in the dark. The lightening and rain add to her predicament and conflict. One of my favourite scenes I keep coming back to from all of season 1.

It’s such a shame they didn’t spend enough time together. Reunited briefly (two days?) only to be separated forever in life and death. That’s just sad.

This is the scene that won me over to the new actress playing the older rhaenyra, she does such an amazing job here.

Yes rhaenerya made mistakes and yes it was risky what she ended up doing with harwin, but no matter what she loves her children, and she will never abandon them. It’s sad that in those times it was seen as more admirable or even acceptable for Aegon to go to brothels, sire children and abandon them to the streets. Rhaenyra did no such thing, yes she had children out of her marriage with another man but she took responsibility for those kids, she loves her babies all of them, but unfortunately society doesn’t see it that way. To me this showed that she was more scared for her babies than anything else. She knows it could mean their death.

I love how we get amazing female leads AND male leads. No trash writing favoring any modern trend or garbage writing we get in other shows. Beautiful writing and acting, also the fact many of us expected this to be as bad as season 7-8, when it is the complete opposite

Why Viserys said "Oh they're real"? Does he think the event when she introduced her sons in the evening to him was merely his dream? Was it the reason she told Daemon that "he seems like someone else"? Bcs he's under the Poppy so that he can't seems to differ dreams and reality?

this scene teaches a lot of men how to be a father yes you are going to make mistake,s and so will your child the most important thing is that you try to do the best and you love them.

I know, in the book she was way worse. But this scene kinda maker her a little better as a person.

My problem with rhaenyra is she thinks she can move dishonorable and expect to be treated with honor. She was better off not having children with strong. Claim would’ve been stronger then.
