@@joeloates1685just to be clear, I’m on neither side of the war. George clearly intended to say that this war was ultimately pointless when he wrote Fire and Blood. That’s where I stand as well What I take issue with is when people try to paint it as a blacks are good, greens are evil story. In reality, they both did messed up things and were just as bad as each other

@@LifeisANovel well yes, but that doesn't mean she won though. Rhaenyra loses the war. If two boxers fight and one knocks the other one out he wins the fight. Aegon won once Rhaenyra died simple as that. And Aegon 3 even sitting the throne is all because of Aegon 2 who married his daughter to him. And in the end only Aegon 2 is seen as a rightful king while she is only seen as a claimant and pretender. So Aegon will have the last laugh, sorry to burst your bubble.

I feel like the main tension between Rhaenyra and Daemon will do with the war. Like, Daemon will want to go all out, no limits, while Rhaenyra will want to be careful, perhaps too careful, which could see the Greens gaining momentum in the war effort.

I'm convinced it was the other way around with Alicent and Rhaenyra. Alicent is definitely in love with Rhaenyra, huge part of her resentment towards Rhaenyra is jealousy (yeah, both meanings of this word). I mean she even kept this book page from Rhaenyra for like 20 years? Not so sure about Rhaenyra's feelings though.
