#BREAKING: Republican effort to oust Speaker of the House Mike Johnson fails by a final vote of 359-43.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), one of the more vocal Republicans behind the removal of former Speaker Mike McCarthy last Fall, moved to oust Johnson (R-LA) just moments before the House vote.

@@motionattached Do you people not understand how your system is supposed to work? With a majority of one, Johnson has to work with the Democrats- i.e., bipartisan.. When the vote for the spending bills came through a large number of Republicans supported it. Do not forget that the presidency and the Senate are democratic controlled. In the end there was a majority of about 75% across the two houses that supported the spending bills. Therefore, that is what the American People wanted, and therefore , that is what they got.
