I love British designers..they create homes that look like homes and not prescription spaces based on trends. They fill.their spaces with items and collections that reflect their love of design and create unique , warm and inviting rooms with clever attention to the use of scale, pattern, texture and colour.

I often feel that many people become nervous faced with making decisions regarding what they like in their homes. So much grey here in Australia, and often very boring.

A lovely, lived-in home. The use of shelving in the kitchen is something that I’ve been afraid to do but it definitely works and can be cluttered and beautiful at the same time. Natasha’s use of color is wonderful! Thank you for sharing your home!

All this is gorgeous while wonderfully personalized, warm and inviting. I don't get the difference between the lounge space and family room, but I guess when you have a five floor house redundancy is unavoidable.

I have to admit - I started skeptical and changed my mind quite quickly. Loved the bold colours, patterns and whimsical ideas (I hate visible power plugs, so that tip is at least one certain takeaway). And Cheddar is so adorable (coming from a proud owner of a ginger cat gentleman) !

Really brilliant style..I like the way shelves are placed high on the walls show casing books and accessories, it really does create more room and higher ceiling. I'm going to try that so I can focus on the furniture pieces below..

Love the boldness of the colours. A lot of homes on KZfaq are a white box. No character or sou, even the furniture has no colour as they are either white or beige The real average home does not look like that. I love colour

How do you stop food splashes around the island? I see how splattered the tiles behind my hob become when i'm cooking a pasta sauce, especially when i'm emulsifying it, or a steak, so if people are gathered around the island, won't they be splashed with whatever is being cooked? Anything frying splashes, sauces splash. I'm all for working islands but without the hob or sink in them, especially if you're going to sit at them too
