House with logs. 10 Days of survival and crafts in the forest
Day 1: Waking up early in the morning, I lit a fire, got dressed and went to wash in a stream not far from my house. I took out the potatoes and peeled a few pieces to make breakfast, I cut the potatoes into slices and fried them with lard on both sides. Then, of course, he cleaned up after himself. The weather is not pleasant, it rained almost all day, already in the evening I made a fire in the yard.
Day 2: I had a cool idea and decided to implement it right away, for this I cut out of the fence, disassembled this piece. And he began to build a chicken coop, and evening came. For dinner I threw some potatoes into the fire and while the potatoes were baking I remembered that I needed to sew a pillow. After dinner I went to bed.
Day 3: Right from the morning I went to the stream to wash. For breakfast, I kneaded the dough, which I then fried nicely in a pan with eggs and had breakfast like that. Then I went to build a chicken coop, since the floor was ready, the next stage was the frame, which I did all day.
Day 4: I woke up when it was still a little dark in the yard and immediately started building. Taking the logs that were the fence, I split them in two and made the walls of the chicken coop from them. I made a roof using boards and film so that nothing would leak anywhere. Mandatory for the chicken coop was a door and I made a small yard for them. Tea by the fire is the best thing that can help me from fatigue, so after a little rest I went in search of long thin sticks, which I then cleaned of the skin and hung up to dry.
Day 5: Full preparation started in the morning, I really wanted to finish building the chicken coop. He made a ladder for them, cut a hole in the log for water, made a net from ropes so that they could not fly over the logs. I also made a rake that I will need in the future.
Day 6: To work with the chicken coop, all I had to do was cover them with hay to keep them warm. Then I went on a long journey, taking a rake with me. When I reached my destination, I traded the rake for two chickens and grain for them. After bringing them to their new home, I let them out of the bag and fed them. For dinner, I made mashed potatoes with meat.
Day 7: After I washed, I decided to visit my chickens and a pleasant surprise awaited me there: an egg laid by one of my chickens. I fed them and had a snack myself, and immediately began to make a fishing rod. When the rod was ready, I immediately went to the river, I didn't expect that the catch would be so good, so I had a few extra fish that I decided to sell. Of course, I kept two for myself for dinner. I cleaned the fish and fried it in a pan and had a very tasty dinner, overall I was very satisfied with today.
Day 8: It was getting warmer every day so I decided to clean my shower. The thing is that above the shower there is a pit into which water is poured and it is heated by the sun, but now there was old water with leaves, so I cleaned everything, poured clean water and made a cover so that mud does not fall into the water. And of course he took a shower.
Day 9: I decided to let the chickens walk all over the yard, so in the morning I let them out and fed them, then I took a shovel and went to a clearing that was not far from the house and started digging the ground, but in the process I broke the handle on the shovel, so I quickly replaced to keep digging. About an hour later, I already had my own garden, planted corn, potatoes and beans there. For beans, a long stick had to be stuck near each planted bean so that it would spin and grow up the stick.
Day 10: Made scrambled eggs for breakfast, I have a lot of eggs now thanks to my chickens. And he went to the garden to finish everything there, he also planted cucumbers, onions and garlic. And I also fenced my garden. I hope the harvest will be big;)
