Thank you Angela! I am a professional house cleaner and one of my hacks for cleaning a gunky microwave is to take about two or three paper towels and get them wet throw them in the microwave for about 45 seconds. Let it set for another minute in the microwave and then wipe everything out with the steamed paper towels.

As a person with short limbs and bad joints, I cannot explain the rage I have when my lazy family refuses to cover their food and splatters all over the microwave. It is such a pain to balance on a stepstool and reach in there to clean.

I just put my shower liner in the washer last week n hung it back up to dry along with hanging a new outer pretty shower curtain 😉 n after waiting so long ( I don't know why 😓) I finally bought some microfiber cloths n I always do a daily quick cleaning of my sink n toilet BUT EVERY TIME I WASH MY HANDS I'VE GOT TO WIPE THE SINK N FACET DRY BCUS I LOVE THE SHINE THE MICROFIBER CLOTH LEAVES! 😘. I've also started scrubbing the kitchen floor (I can only do sections at a time everyday on my hands n knees) but I'm getting up so much dirt n grim from using "floor wax" for 3yrs n it's getting AMAZINGLY SO CLEAN n looking new now it's put me in the "LET'S GET THIS DONE HAPPY MOOD" to do EVERYTHING! Lov your tips n suggestions, they are AWESOME n I Thank you for sharing. 👍🙋😉✌💜

I use shower hand wand/hot water to go over tub/surround after a shower. Gets rid of soap scum so not drying like iron in there. Also chek bathroom fan. If u take 1 single toilet paper sheet, throw it up in air towards running ceiling fan. It should suck it up. If not, fan grate needs cleaned, or more likely fan motor replaced. They only last maybe 10yrs. If its sucking tissue up its working. A working bathroom fan will wick away steam/help stop mold. I learned that from carpenter friend. He said to buy bigger fan than what u need for rm. Also said if grout is moldy - replace. The mold retardant is gone. Grout doesn't last forever and shouldn't need heroic efforts to keep mold free. Grout is probably cracking/pulling away from tile leading to mold/water damage. Some tubs/shower stalls need replaced after 10yrs if it takes huge effort to clean. I couldnt keep shower clean. It was 35yrs old. Clear coating wore off. Had replaced, now its a breeze to clean.

I keep a clean microfiber cloth draped over the hand towel bar at the end closest to the bathroom sink. When I’m done, I do a quick wipe with the cloth and hang it back up to dry. I change it out every few days, or earlier if really grody. Same with the kitchen sink, except I have it sitting on one of those racks you use to double the vertical space in cupboards.

I always step out of my shower after showering and while the shower is wet ice Ouija the whole thing and then after I dry myself off I take my towel and dry off the whole shower. And then hang up the wet towel is just my water in there so doesn't matter. And I use a fabric waterproof shower liner and I always keep a bottle with water and a small amount of bleach it's sprayed on the bottom of my shower curtain occasionally to keep away all the mold and mildew. It works great

I was originally taught to clean with the "cloth and sink of soapy water" method so cleaning the inside of the microwave was a pain in the ass. But after working with a company I learned the "spray and wipe" method and oh boy is it 1,000 times easier. Just hose the microwave down with all purpose spray or degreaser of choice and wipe away. The steam bowl method mimics this but this way you don't have to wait forever and deal with a hot bowl.

I know everyone loves the shower glass squeegee. My boyfriend is an installer of shower doors for a glass company. He says squeegees scratch, and that there are special squeegees that don’t scratch. Could you investigate and clarify what in the world he is talking about. Of coarse he doesn’t know a non scratch squeegee brand. So I use a microfiber. 😑

Lately I have been scrubbing the inside of my toilets with Dawn Powerwash foam spray dish detergent (a bottle I designated for bathrooms only). It seems to work really well and only a spray or two goes a very long way. How do you feel about using dish detergent for this? Are there any drawbacks? Could it be bad for my plumbing?
@AskAngelaBrown
@AskAngelaBrown 2 жыл бұрын
No. There is no harm to using Dawn Powerwash in your toilet. This would be similar to washing dishsoap down the kitchen sink. It is diluted enough that it would be nearly pH neutral - and it may give the toilet any extra cleaning power you need while using a toilet brush. Great question.

+Natural Healing What about an electric toothbrush? It wouldn’t form an L shape, but you might be able to get the results with a spinning head of an electric toothbrush. Will that work?

Do not put plastic shower curtain liners in the washing machine! This causes damage- rips, tears, etc. It is more cost effective to purchase a fabric liner. They look better and wash like clothing. Plastic liners a cheap looking anyway.

That's exactly what I wanted to say! I have my ikea fabric shower curtain for already 10 years. I just wash it in the washing machine sometimes and it still looks like a new one.

Leigh Sutherland Hi, I've always used a clear "thick" liner on the inside of my shower n of course a nice material one on the outside n I always put the clear liner in the washer with a couple towels n it always comes out like new, so maybe it might be the cheaper liners that tear or rip, in that case I would be sure to just buy a new thick liner.( I've got to have a liner to keep the water in the shower n tub) as to not have to put the pretty outside curtain in to drip dry in the tub n not on the floor. Hope that makes sense, I was " just saying" 👍🙋😏✌💜

They give off nasty smell when brand new too. Ugh. That can't be good for lungs.

@@pattyharris7443 I am a clean geek and I have used both. I always use a washer with couple of towels works great! Some people won't purchase nothing but plastic & don't clean because lack of knowledge or don't care. Yes. I agree with you I double hang. I add sm a little amount of clorox if I am out of vinegar in wash. I put vinegar bowl in microwave 5 minutes & wipe down.

An ozone generator might help with the musty smell. Here is a video: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oLudmbpnx92VgJs.html Do you have hardwood floors? Do you have plaster or drywall (or something else like wood paneling) for the walls?

@@AskAngelaBrown ground in dirt, grime mostly. It is a low wall and people sit on it and sometimes unfortunately put their feet on it with shoes. The wall is white I've tried using a scrub brush with Dawn and with Mr clean but I don't see any difference . Also a lot of dust in the cracks

I was waiting tables at a restaurant and a waiter friend had a cleaning business. She hired me for one day and I realized I could make better money cleaning than at the restaurant.
