Great idea for a video, D. I would also add storage totes for QT/ emergency tanks, and turkey basters, as they can be used wide variety of things. Keep up the good work!

DWSDARIUS FISH TANKS I use golden pothos (devil's vine) in my tanks too, they're fabulously easy. There's one caution, however: They're poisonous to pets (mouth irritation, swallowing-difficulty and vomiting). I have a cat, but she's too old and smart to eat anything but her favorites. I was thinking of your dog, Juno, though. He's a youngster, right? And also I'm always careful to remove yellowing leaves before they drop into the water, suspecting, but not knowing, if the toxins would cause the fish any problems. I have a few more household tips and ideas for later. Got to run...

Wow, that I didn't know! Juno would put anything in his mouth so I'll keep this plant out of reach! Thanks for the tip!

I actually let my pothos go underwater it makes a beautiful looking planted tank almost like a jungle the leaves aren't the greenest because of being underwater but it still grows I actually find it grows faster if possible to reach up to the top of the tank also some of my algae eaters like the golden algae eater like to snack on it every once in awhile love the video pretty much new of everything but still great as a refresher i keep up the good work enjoy your videos

Has anyone soaked fish food in mineral oil to help with bloat? I ask because when I use to work as a vet tech we use to use it to help all sorts of animals with bloat or twisted bowls ie: horses cows and dogs.

Hey Darius, how do you prepare the cucumber/ zucchini to feed your fish, do you boil it first and if so for how long? Thanks
@dwsdarius
@dwsdarius 6 жыл бұрын
Hey, no need to boil it, just a quick rinse, the fish don't eat the skin so if you want you can peel it entirely or just remove it once they finish. I'd use a stainless steel fork to make it sink
