I LOVED their story! It really showed how people's biases can form completely inaccurate views of someone. Milton being so young, was thought of as immature and totally unprepared for marriage. It showed Lydia as a crazy desperate woman, possibly a stalker, whose soul purpose was to be with her ex. Going so far as to befriend his connection and manipulate his relationship. What we saw was a loving woman who cared for everyone around her, caught in a difficult situation, but wanting her friend and her ex to find love, like she did, when she opened her heart to any possibility. Most men don't completely grow up, but some men are just looking for a good woman to love and build a life together, at every age. Lydia was just looking for love, and moving along when it wasn't being reciprocated. You will only know if it's real, if you lead with love and show the woman you will be. Her ex took her love as desperation, with zero appreciation. Her friend couldn't find love, with the picture of a woman she knew being before her. She couldn't trust a woman could have pure intentions and excitement for her happiness. Her ex told the woman he was falling for, she should believe her worst fears, instead of taking a leap of faith. Truth is some women can love, let go, and be there to help the next woman succeed. Some women are not born with the lens of jealousy that compares us to each other. Some of us have never wanted something just to see if we could get it. We can root for your win without comparison to our own. We leave openly the way we came. Lydia's ex bathed himself in things to impress women- nice car, nice house, nice clothes, cute dog...probably always seeing if he can get something better. Lydia's friend's reaction was understandable, because everything she heard felt like it didn't belong to her, but his ex. Just too bad she couldn't see how excited her friend was for her to have a good choice, and share things to look forward to, like they were family. If you don't have the jealousy lens, and Lydia doesn't, Lydia never saw how she was perceived. It was like magic when Milton said he knew her, and needed no other opinions. A man.

They are magical! Milton is a full on MAN at 24, that most men never fully grow into. Lydia just loves so openly, she is perceived as desperate, and not to be trusted. She was put in a difficult situation, handled it the best she could, and supported her friend finding love. Instead of being jealous, she swallowed the few moments she had, and was genuinely happy for her friend and her ex. Her ex is the kind of guy who covers himself in everything to attract a woman- good job, nice clothes, fancy car, nice house...but is always looking for the better thing. Lydia came heart open, so he saw her as desperate. She moved on in a open hearted way, so to fit his narrative about her, he thought it was all about him. She couldn't love someone else so easily, so she must be doing it to get closer to him. She must be obsessed with him, so that's why she was friends with his connection. When the relationship was revealed, he said nothing about Lydia could be trusted. Every moment of sisterhood was tainted. The excitement she had for her friend, thinking her ex was a good guy, was taken as claiming her territory. Her friend couldn't see anything as being for her. But simply by the way Lydia genuinely was looking for her husband, and so openly let Milton in, we could see her ex didn't know her at all. She wasn't trying to ruin her friend's relationship, she was happy two people she cared about, cared about each other. When you aren't jealous of other women, you don't know the jealousy they might feel that you were there before them. No doubt Lydia would have stopped sharing if she understood. Something you are born with- jealousy lens. I wasn't born with it either- if you talk yourself up, someone with that lens thinks you are putting them down, or think less of them. I have never wanted something so someone else wouldn't have it. Never someone's boyfriend or husband. I happily made friends with exes new wives or girlfriends. Felt nothing but happy for them. But the happiness I felt, some saw me as a threat, and never trusted my affection. I could move on fast after breakups, and that wasn't trusted. I KNEW Lydia's and Milton's love was real. I just feel sorry for every person who didn't, and that mistrust in people they have.

I promise you, you have her wrong. You are right her heart was fully open, but that's because she was ready to be married, and looking for her match. She was open with her ex, who took her openness and love as desperation. He's the guy who does everything to attract women- nice job, nice house, nice car, nice clothes and a cute dog. But he looking for the next best thing. If he didn't find love on the show, he could be more popular. He knows he's a catch. Things weren't going anywhere, Lydia moved on. The show sounds like a great opportunity to find someone looking for marriage and a partner. Lydia was fully open, honest about herself, asking lots of questions about the guys, and just being authentic. Her connection with Milton was totally authentic, and they really clicked. But she was really worried about his age, as someone serious should be. Milton is probably the most mature 24 year old I've seen in 25 years. He is more MAN than most men who never truly grow up. She was never trying to reconnect with her ex. They had a short conversation about the situation, she agreed it wasn't a sign from the universe, and was completely supportive of her friend, and her journey. Her ex thinking she couldn't be over him, so it must be her trying to get him back, ruined his connection. He said the only way she could get on the show is if she went through his email, and she probably did because she drove by his house once when he wasn't there stalking him. But he lied about the last time they hooked up, and downplayed their involvement completely. It made their friendship look like nothing but manipulation. I don't know if her ex was allowed to talk about the relationship, but she was told she couldn't say anything. She was so glad her friend finally knew, and she could tell her everything she wanted to explain. She was so happy about her connection and her friend's connection with her ex- because she thought she was getting a good guy, with a lot going for himself that any woman would be happy about. She didn't know what he really thought of her. It never crossed her mind. People who take time to move on, think everyone needs it. Some people love easily, and fall quickly. They aren't guarded, so they are more used to getting hurt and moving on. Lydia had a few weak moments of feeling hurt and not being able to share it, but she loved her friend too. She didn't see that her friend was so jealous, and thinking of the life that she felt her friend lived with her man. Lydia was just excited to share, because that's what Lydia would want to hear about. She doesn't compare herself to other women. She felt hurt when she was rejected, but it was only for being rejected. She isn't caring about someone based on if they show the same interest. It's just how she feels. She didn't think she was coming off to her ex like a desperate stalker. She thought she was doing something sweet. Happened to me- casually dating a guy for over a month, wasn't going to see him on valentine's day, so dropped off an astray and a candy bar I thought he would like. He then took me for a walk and broke up with me because he wasn't feeling as seriously. I forgot my sunglasses on the table, so called and asked if he could run them down. Then he proceeded to ask me not to pretend I needed anything else to pick up, just to stop by, and handed me my glasses. I was completely floored, cause I didn't have strong feelings, I spent 5$ and didn't think about a card, which could be taken as personal, and I definitely didn't think enough of him to PRETEND to need something from him. I was just happy, affectionate, and getting laid. I saw that all play out with Lydia's ex. CREEPY! It was WILD when he tried to get Milton alone to show the pic of his house and the text. He was furious when Milton didn't take it seriously, and trusted the woman he knew. She has been constantly herself. Loyal, loving, affectionate, silly, outgoing. Milton is exactly the man she needed, and they never would have met otherwise.

I gotta disagree with you. I honestly don’t believe she would of married anyone… She came on there and was feeling izzy, but after that fell through she became open to Milton. The age difference threw her off to where she wasnt even gonna talk to him! Everyone who really watched that season knew that though! She actually doubled back to Milton and gave him a chance because he was actually mature for his age and became open to being with him! I love them as a couple! By far one of my favorite couples on Love is Blind.
