There was a time where i loved hovercrafts because how they worked and the amphibious factor, good to remember these guys

Hovercrafts are just so cool! I was watching this video for educational purpose but it was quite entertaining.

Would love one of these for Canada during the winters.

I'll bet you would. But you probably annoy enough people with your ski-doo already. Drinking and operating motorised vehicles is never ok.

Awesome video! I have just got/fallen into this fantastic hobby, I have a British Hovercraft Company Marlin III. Ive had a lot of previous experience out on the water so I know I need solid comms with emergency services & other crafts if needed. What VHF system are you using there? Is it a handheld unit or fitted to the craft only plugging in your headset? Leading onto my next question where do I even start looking for headset units?
@Hovermann2 жыл бұрын
Marine standard VHF i(optional). Built into the unit for emergencies, ship to ship or shore. We currently use Pelter headsets which offer a lot versatility, but there is a variety others around. Search on the web. The HCGB guys use a motorcycle style intercom unit built into a standard earmuff for general use.

How well would a hovercraft do in a desert? Or the dust would destroy the engine

Can it be used for fishing, can it float on water while engine is off?
@no3ironman11100 Жыл бұрын
since hovercrafts use an air cushion to reduce friction I'd assume it helps with floating esp when moving. Doubt it can get waterlogged though, and it doesn't look so heavy.
