If the mayority of videos are shorts, people start to think the channel only have shorts so they barely get to see the long form ones. That and also the algorithm. It puts channels in boxes and if you make any variety, it's not going to get promoted. people mostly have to actively click the subscriber sectiom or go to the channel to find the content to watch it

Simply amazing. You're fast becoming one of my favourite KZfaqr. As a Multimedia Journalist in Pakistan, I have first-hand experience with how the news is "treated" this way. You often hear in a newsroom that "no news is bad news" so at times many channels "make" them. It is not to say everything is bad in this industry but people need to stop believing everything they see on TV and the internet. Use your brain first, people.

Actually that's right. Many people who come here from abroad sometimes are really surprised because they have that particular image of Pakistan. That is not to say we don't have any problems here. We have like A LOT but there's a positive side too which is never depicted on western media unfortunately.

@Zain Ul Abideen exactly and stuff like this is a symptom of larger issues in media in general. purposefully portraying people or places in different light due to bias is not good journalism and affects real people and countires and how they are treated. western media in particular loves painting countries it doesnt like badly with little to no positive depictions ever. keep doing what your doing ❤

The case of Adam Walsh is definitely not 100% solved. Ottis Toole, like Henry Lucas, was a serial confessor and compliant interviewee who repeated what police told him in interviews/questioning and later recanted. Both may have been used by police to close unsolved cases.

I always go with the Maxim of "Vigilance is just a street across from Paranoia, you only need to knock on their door to get to them". This also kept me alive. No need to cross the street to reach paranoia. I love the message honestly, the world is dangerous, but not what you think it is todag. Sure, be Vigilant, but not everyone in this world is trying to get you Always stay calm, use your rationale. Making a spear or two to fight against the lion make sense, Making thousands of them and hoarding them don't... Because the lion does not care whether or not you have one spear or a thousand, it just need you to not be as vigilant

I used to start every morning watching cable news, because i value being informed. I learned that this was not only a bad way to stay informed (they overfocus on a few stories and ignore a LOT), but it was also contributing to my anxiety. I now rarely if ever watch cable news and instead have found online sources so I'm in charge of what news i take in and when/how long i want to take in news. I have past trauma so I'm naturally overly hypervigilant, and watching cable news on a daily basis was the worst thing for me. I'm now trying to work on my hypervigilance, and avoiding cable news is a necessity, they are designed to exploit our worst fears.

I get your point about overstimulating the lizard brain. However, raising awareness has further cut down the dangers as well and that should be said as well. I have gotten out of a couple terrifying situations by using information about rape & kidnap prevention. And for families that lost their child while months or years or decades ago by, there is no comfort in statistics.

Counterargument: It may seem like now is the safest time for children to be outside in the open, but it's not. It only looks like that statistically because parents have been scared (by the media) into keeping their kids inside with eyes on them 24/7

@@gametalk3149 I was locked in a house behind double locks for years, only being allowed to go outside for 30 minute increments. When I finally convinced my parents to let me join a club at school (which they were afraid of me doing because it means staying out of the house for an extra hour,) I got to go on a trip with the marching band to a neighboring school. They tried to convince me not to by telling me the second I get there I'd be murdered or kidnapped. Last year, they felt in danger of me being at school because they thought the other students were dangerous and teachers didn't care about me. So I was kept home from school for 2 whole months while they tried to switch me to virtual school so they could watch me more. I've been kept locked up for so many years of my life because of the paranoia from the news that I had to go to a neuropsychologist and get a doctor's order to be allowed to go to school. Otherwise, it would be considered neglect, and there would be consequences. Even then, I still wasn't allowed to leave once I got home, and I wasn't allowed to join any clubs. They always thought someone was going to hurt me, and they were addicted to the news. The news seemed to be the only thing we'd discuss in the house. So yes, I will die on that hill. All of the worst serial killers came before we had cameras everywhere, and before we all had phones that could dial 911. With our technology, it happens less, because people get caught sooner. Not only do they get caught sooner, but it's riskier to commit awful crimes, leading less people to do it. Along with these cameras came footage that we all have access to thanks to our devices. It's shown to us more. I'm open minded about most things, but news paranoia ruined my life, and because of that, I can't see it any other way. Especially knowing some of my peers at school had to go through it too.

You know what I love about this video is exactly what I’ve been telling people for the last 2 years when they say there is more crime, killers, just awful things etc. I always no there isn’t. It’s much safer now than it ever has in the last 100 years. Crime is low, I mean yeah there is a spike but that happens after a recession and with inflation of course crime spikes up but it’s safer now than it was 20 years ago. I tell them it’s because we have quicker and easier access to news. We get news from all the news stations in the US and world so it seems worse but we’re getting all the info that is happening. I watch the news alot but I’m aware of that so I don’t freak out. I use statistics and facts. I know if I used my feelings than I’d feel more fearful and think this country got worse. I mean yeah we do have a lot of homelessness and a drug crisis and that actually is going up but alot of other things I’m not to worry about it as much as a lot of other people

I love how i think that the news people fake those things (as I'm not from America and didn't know it really happened) and continued to watch it till the end as he entertained us with those animations. He literally showed me an example of how the news did this kinda things which is so subtle but i was played by it!. Genius!!

thats because America informs you when someone is kidnapped, in another country without an amber alert, you wont know till it makes the news

After a lady on our “Next Door Neighbor” website posted that we need to watch our children closer because children are being abducted and trafficked into sex all the time nowadays, I proceeded to debunk what she was saying and I then posted statistics counteracting her claim. I then emphasized that these statistics are good news and proves that our children are much safer than we think. Well I proceeded to get so many hateful responses. So instead of looking at those statistics as being good news, people looked at them with skepticism and disappointment cause they didn’t fit their narrative.

Also childhood trauma and other abuse causes people to be more cautious of this world. My grandmother and her little sister were left in an "orphanage" where they were abused as a kid ( labor and sex trafficked, beaten with belts). It didn't really affect how she raised my mom and uncle, but when she got assaulted when I was seven she started becoming overprotective of me. It was like overnight she was allowing me to play in our gated front yard unattended, to not letting me walk around the neighborhood with other kids, or attend sleepovers overnight ( only allowed to stay until 9pm) a few years later.
