Pac and BIG pushed other artists when they were alive to drop better music IMO, after 97 it was all downhill pretty much for a while.... I would say it came back some with Nas Stillmatic and so on in 01 and a few underground albums but it would return in full around 02-03 for a minute and 50 had a huge buzz then I remember.

Oh I feel that. I'm at Uni, studying a something where the majority of people have no sense of good-anything. All just trying to follow the trend and pretend they ain't as individual as they are. My music collection is one of my pride and joys, and hearing people diss me about my music taste behind my back is the worst. I could educate all of them but nahhh... Get Rich or Die Tryin when you come to think of it isn’t as lyrical as an album such as Illmatic or Enter the 36 Chambers imo. What makes it one of my top 5 albums is cause of how gangsta 50 made Hip-Hop and how Dr. Dre still reminded everybody how he was the top producer back in the day.
