Matt, Now I know that there are other farming channels on youtube, and a lot of them are larger than yours. Some a lot larger. But none of them have taken the time to explain the Modern day Combines like you have. This was the most educational video out there.We've heard alot of the terms when they were talking to us about crop lost out the back of the Combine but never in the detail you did. I mean from front to back you explained it to us in simple terms we could understand. Being from South MS, I speak your language. Keep up the great videos. I like your style

Ive always been fascinated by large complex machines like combine harvesters although ive not seen very many actually working because im rarely out in rural areas during harvest season ( September is harvest season here in western Washington which is also the start of school)

I like to walk the fields after the harvest and I’m always amazed at how few stray ears of corn there are. Modern combines get about 99.5% of the corn. Great for farmers, bad for me!

I have been around these things my whole life and never had a clue how they actually operated.

I live in the northwestern part of Georgia where there is some farmlands but not too many where there are like 3 combines that travel on the two laned roads daily.

I work at a grain elevator and never knew how a combine worked. I was born and raised in a major city, ended up in BFN South Dakota. I've spent many years in college but never bothered to learn how the farm machines worked. Now, life has thrown me to a grain elevator. I grade, probe, and do maintenance at the elevator. I asked others but their words didn't complete the picture. Thank you for adding to my education! If you have additional suggestions on what machines/equipment I should know, please reply!
