In this episode, I get to spend some time wandering around the Native Watercraft/ Liquid Logic Factory, and meeting the workers who make your kayaks! Native Watercraft is based in Fletcher NC and has been making top quality kayaks in the US for over 15 years. Thier roots run deep in the paddlesports industry with top names like Woody Callaway, Shane Benedict and Steve Jordan all on staff.

Love the factory tours, thank you. When you look at the cost of a new boat, you rarely get to see all that goes into making one. Gives me a much greater appreciation to the efforts and costs associated with a new boat.

I flew up to North Carolina and drove out to their factory November this year. The crew there is really nice and knowledgeable in their craft. Very well built boats

Treasure Pirate they really pulled out all the stops. In the next video I get to go deep into the R&D room to learn how they bring an idea from computer to reality. Fascinating stuff.

Love Love Love this... I was fortunate enough to drive up to Fletcher (from Atlanta) to pick up my 2019 Native Titan 13.5 from the factory. I got to meet Woody, and he showed me all around the factory.. He's really a Class A Guy!! That factory is AMAZING, and I was like a kid in a candy store seeing the process play out.. That's what you call CUSTOMER SERVICE.. Woody said: "Come on back, let me show you how your new kayak began!".. It felt like I came in and watched them build my kayak right there in front of me.. Coolest experience ever!!

Thanks for sharing. I assumed the hulls were sourced out and I had no idea the kayaks were made entirely at the factory. Same goes for the seats...I assumed they were simply assembled in the US. Now I know where my kayak was born!

They get pet points. Cool they let dogs come to work. That new slayer looks like a candidate for my next wildlife photography rig. You can sneak up on some serious wildlife on a river with a Minn kota 55. And a Battleborn battery.

Two rear storage and rubber should of had groves continued back in rear to get rid of water? Can I get the new stayer 10 🇦🇺??

Rear end rudder and access round storage should of had groove back into rear to flush water away

I can see Bonafide getting a propeller pedal drive. If they keep it $1800 or less, it will sell.

SOMP SENG won’t happen but if it did I’m sure it will sell well. Made in US with the features and quality they provide will always be above 2k. Unless they cut some corners like what Hobie did with the Passport.

CHEVYHDINWV I’d love to do that one. I’m really pulling for them to do a new touring kayak to compete with the Stratos. Their quality and outfitting is the best, but the hull design is dated.

Seriously, if there were to be an accident there and OSHA were to investigate, your video could serve as evidence. I love the fact that they have dogs but come on, in a factory setting you really should lose the mom and pop culture in some places. The guy using the air nibble to cut out the holes should seriously have some kind of safety glasses. The lady cutting the seat material should use safety glasses. The kayaks stacked up in the inventory should have some kind of safety catch to keep them from fall out om someone possibly walking by. The overhead crane use should definitely call for hard hats. The use of safety toe shoes is not a standard thing here as well. The lighting you were playing with can also likely be a safety violation. I'm not trying to be the safety police but at some point you have to grow with the business, safety will keep your staff safe and happy, plus it'll keep you from having OSHA off your ass when there is an "oh shit!" moment. You may thumb your nose at me but the owners seem to have invested a lot of time, money, effort and people into the overall business. A little bit of safety protocols is cheap insurance. Not being a hater just a Native customer that has been in this type of industry. Just to put things into perspective, an extension cord that has been patched up with electrical tape can be a $10,000 fine per violation.
