In my own opinion there's no problem using grader to spread the dirt. But the operator got lot of patients to do the job

I do agree, hell a little skid steer would have been more efficient but sometimes you just gotta use what you got.

Don't want to detract from this entertaining video, but soils should be spread more evenly and thinly in lifts and initially compacted with smaller equipment until they obtain a thickness of about 1 meter or 3 feet to avoid potential differential loading and possible bursting of the culvert roof slab.

That crossing will be rough for years due to no compaction.

I ran a JD 670D and I never had a packer and they cae out fine. The thing is... is that you wheel pack it. Articulate your machine so there is over lap in your tracks and it'll come out fine. A dozer blade on the front of this machine would have helped greatly also.

Why didn't the trucks dump the first loads of dirt over the side to start with. Looks like a lot of extra work to me.

Dumping on the already leveled material will help with compaction, the trucks wheels have point loading and so should stay away from the concrete culvert. The area above the culvert should be covered with at least an extra 1m. This will aid compaction by weight and any settlement will just reduce the final grading.

Better grease all the articulation points good cause your giving it a good workout ! We call it hogging subgrade that’s where the new blade hand gets sum stick time … Normally you’d say seat time but that wouldn’t be accurate for most

Cara penimbunan yg ngawur. Pd tepi box culvert akan terjd penurunan krn susah dipadatkan atau tdk padat maksimal bila dipadatkan. Shrsnya sejajar dg box culvert ditimbun dg tiap lapis sekitar 40-50 cm dipadatkan barulah searah jalur jalan ditimbun dan diratakan dg grader.

Wrong tool for the job. A front blade on the grader, or a bulldozer would have been much more effective.

At least when he was able to cross the box he could of leveled off what dirt he had as low as possible the wheeled it with front wheel and articulated the frame away from box.
