Little side note: Peanut butter scented traps or traps where you can put peanut butter on work much better, bc of mice liking peanut butter a lot better than cheese and in fact they'll take meat over cheese as well. So traps with cheese are more so reliant on that mouse being *real* hungry which most of the time isn't going to be the case. wrote this just for anyone curious or struggling with a mice problem.

@@itzAurora_Xoxo Of course! Just make sure you're using traps that are pressure sensitive aka designed for bait like peanut butter otherwise you may just get yourself a real fat well-fed mouse lol. My family have struggled with mice problems in the past as well as roaches (another handy advice for another common pest, roaches. get all your food in air-tight containers, lie the walls along and under all your furniture with borax as it dries them out. Best bet is to set out plates of borax and sugar mixed together as roaches adore sweets and will eat it, killing them. In places children and pets can't reach them of course such as under sinks, or under your fridge and ovens as obviously borax is toxic to humans and animals if ingested and they are common places they like to hide. also roaches hate the smell of citric such as lemon, and orange scented cleaners. doesn't do much to hurt them but does deter them.) Never know when information might come in handy.

Also some mice are capable of taking bait off the trap without setting it off. Our mice starting taking meat and cheese of the trap so we switched to peanut butter, then they found away to lick off the peanut butter.... we switched to a more sensitive trap which they figured out how to set off without getting caught in it. Then we threw up our hands and got a cat

@@vukodlak3962 Sounds like you both or either didn't use the right traps or have smart frickin mice on your hands lmao. we took care of our problem in a couple months, but i can't say there weren't a bunch of smarty pants mice that got away. A cat is a good alternative, we had planned on getting a cat as well but seeing as we have enough on our plates we felt like a cat would just add to our problem .Wouldn't recommend the traps in this video as it's very easy for the mice to set off the trap without being in it and just steal the food.

Fun fact about mice: They don’t actually like cheese that much! That’s just for cartoons, mice actually prefer fruits and nuts like other rodents! They will eat cheese as a last resort if there’s no other food, but it’s recommended if you spread peanut butter on your mouse traps!

....and put that butter on the underside of the bait pad. More of a challenge to get the butter bait and puts the target in a higher odds of getting hit. When I lived in the city I've seen mice....rats set the trap off then get the bait like it's seen a few things.

@@punktalley Honestly the best way to do it is to put a nut right in the middle of the peanut butter. The nut is stuck to the pad by the peanut butter which makes it way harder for the mouse to not disturb the trap when he goes for the nut or tries to clear out the peanut butter

Could be worse. They have "humane" traps that they starve in. Trigger traps are actually the quickest way. No suffering or pain. Its instant. They set traps because like you said they come to eat. Probably the house and wires. Which they are sick of replacing.

Psa. Never set your traps to begin with always just put food on them for the first two weeks and then begin to set the traps after two weeks. Mice and rats send out nonbreeding juveniles to find food first and see if the areas they’re getting the food from our safe then they will come and retrieve food for themselves. If you want to take out the breeding females and males you must make them think that the traps are safe first.

Btw fnaf people, just realize the metal bar and bait portion are essentially a springlock, meaning that all mice are given the William afton treatment

Pro tip. Don’t set the trap until the mice start to eat the food off of it for a few nights. Once they learn that the trap is a reliable food source. Then set them up and you will catch most of them in one night.

Fun fact! Mouses like peanut butter or something with peanuts inside or just normal peanuts, more than they like cheese, so if you are setting up a mouse trap you should use peanuts instead of cheese!! :)

Mice don't like cheese, contrary to popular belief. Peanut butter is the best bait since it is not only sweet but, most importantly, it is sticky trapping the mouse.
