The rear shocks looked like one side was installed piston down and the other side was piston up. Is this normal?

Oh sweet. I guess the install guide tells you to let the brake calipers hang unsupported.

It actually does. When running the rough country 6 inch kit since the height difference is so much greater than the standard leveling kit it is recommended to have the calipers placed in this position to provide a proper stretch of the factory rubber lines as to accommodate for the new location of suspension mounting points

I would like to upgrade my upper control arms but I've read that you cant use aftermarket uca's with this lift kit? Help..

I disagree. The bolt hole on the rough country knuckle is the same size as a stock one so why wouldnt you be able to buy aftermarket UCAs and bolt them right up? They use the factory UCAs on the Rough Country kit so as long as you buy aftermarket UCA for your F150 it will bolt right on. Hope this helps

Did you had trouble trying to fit brake lines, mines dont want to go further down on driver side to install them on the bracket provided by rc

Do all differential drops require frame cutting? I want to lift my 2002 but don't want to change the frame.

Yep. It's not a big deal. You can always weld it back on later if you're really worried about it.

@@Trialnerror Thanks for the info. I don't know much about lifting newer trucks and was wondering if I could restore it to normal. Welding it back on the right way seems intimidating, unless you pay a professional to do it.

Krietz Auto Does the 18’F150 SuperCrew xlt RWD has to cut and grind the rear crossmember as well???? Or does that only apply for 4WD’s cause of the front differential drop??? ....almost every video I see this done but every lift tutorials are done on 4WD’s and no RWD’s

I cringed when I saw the brake calipers just hanging by the hose. Brake Caliper hooks are like 10 bucks for a set of 4 of them. SMH.

I added a RC 6inch lift to my 16 f150, instead of strut spacers i went with the loaded struts, now my truck sits about 1 1/4 “ higher on the front, does any one know why?

It typically only takes one full day, but sometimes it can go to two or three days if there would be in complications.

It can be done in a weekend. The biggest bitch is on the 2018 f150 you need to cut the bracket out before the front diff will drop out. However this kit is really nice! Love it.
