You can also use the blades at least twice as long, because you can flip them over once they're starting to dull. They also sell them in packs of a 100 instead of 4-8 for around the same price. Overall they're a bit of an investment to get started, but over a short period of time for anyone who shaves often, it's very worthwhile and feels nicer.

Just faster and there's nothibg detrimental afterwards. I'm curious because I've found this in a box that I haven't opened, only because I was looking for a replacement head for the device as it stopped working after years, and realized I had this brand new razor in the box unopened 😂 Long story short, I don't have the cream but was wondering if you tried it without? Safety razors have been around since 1762.
@poopfacemctavish7080 Жыл бұрын
@@ZorlackE621 A quick Google search reveals the Wikipedia article where you no doubt read that. Some dude conceiving of a “guard” to add to a straight razor in the pre-industrial age of the 18th century isn’t analogous to the disposable, double-edged blades I was clearly referring to. I specifically said, “double-edged razors of this sort came about in the early years of the 20th century,” which is accurate. Plenty of IDEAS are hundreds, even thousands of years old. Though just because people have dreamed about human flight and drew (and sometimes constructed) bird-like wings, they don’t get the credit, y’know? Davinci scratched out all kinds of ideas, including parachutes, tanks, “machine guns,” etc., but none were realized in his lifetime.

@knalac4 ай бұрын
@@Live_Loudif you didn't get the safety razor, get it. Cartridge razors are not good for you. Cartridges use a tug and pull method to cut your hair. The first blade pulls the hair up and cuts then the second cuts shorter then the third the same. This leads to razor bumps from ingrown hairs. As a matter of fact products for razor bumps didn't even exist until cartridge razors came out because that issue never existed. The single blade doesn't tug at your hair and only shaves one blade worth of dead skin off per stroke, compared to 3 which is taking off wayyyyy too much skin as well as hair. On top of not giving you razor bumps, they give you a flat out way better shave then you'll ever get from a cartridge once you do learn to do it properly. And they're badass. If I still haven't convinced you each blade costs between .07-.45 cents a piece from what I've seen lately. 45 cents being the most expensive blade I've seen and most blades being on average 8 to 12 cents. I've also heard people say they've gotten a dozen shaves off one blade. Imagine paying ten cents a blade and getting a dozen shaves off of it... I don't think cartridges can compete in that department. I'm personally enjoying trying all the different brands of razors, I've purchased a bunch of 5 and 10 blade boxes to try out and when I find brands I like, I buy 100 packs. I'm 35 and I'm pretty sure if I was frugal w my blades what I have would last the rest of my life, but I still buy more lol. Cause it's dope. Never met a guy that gets enjoyment from a cartridge razor. Never heard of anyone with a cartridge shaver collection. Imagine having a collection of 10, you'd spend $200 buying a 4 pack of cartridges for each one. Each blade costs you 5 bucks each and you probably get the same amount of shaves from them as a DE blade but like we discussed before... 7 - 45 cents.
