He has a lot of awareness and technique for somebody who has only been training for 8 months. Being able to hit sweeps from multiple guards at that stage is impressive 👏

This white belt has a solid game, especially for only 8 months! Has he competed yet? I think he'd give some blue belts trouble (depending on gym of course).

Lasso, is my favorite now. I did run into some problems the other day when I tried going for sweep by rotating and grabbing pant leg of lasso side. He tripod out and I could not sweep him. I need to work on where to go when I get caught in that transition space. -GB white belt, 3 stripes

You have to change the plan sometimes and transition for something else until you get your lasso back to sweep again. When you go to sweep they you will always react stronger so you go back a fourth on a connection. if you learn how to play like that you will always be strong with lasso :) Does that make sense?

Great content. Would be great to see a no gi version of this. I like wizzer with a variety of locks to control a shoulder and possibly the head, then sweeps look fairly similar. Definitely different though.

i am telling i did not have that same details when i started train lasso guard when i was white belt, he is doing amazing. if he keep doing this, his game will be AMAZING thank you for watching

When he has you in a head lock, would you suggest trying a D'arce choke or would that not be recommended? I have just started going to BJJ classes and I am studying your videos for techniques
