Amen. It’s honestly best to be selective when receiving words from people. Testing by the spirit. I know quite a few people who have had that crushing unintentionally by man’s words. It’s unfortunate. But, I believe God can restore that heart to trust in Him.

If you have doubts in your heart pray until you get leave, but I'd not marry unless I had perfect peace. Blessings

Christ needs to be the centre of the relationship for both of you.. If we love as Jesus did we cant be hurt or offended. Live each day as ur spouse does not owe you anything . We were made in Gods image to serve others just like Jesus did.

Thanks for your comment; it adds to what Bill said and is really encouraging. The same has happened to me and I'm struggling with the opposition, even from my Christian parents. They're telling me to test the word, but it's way beyond that - Jesus was in the room speaking it to me so what other test do I need! God showed my Mum that Jesus was with me but they still don't get it.

@@lisajordan377 I like your surname Lisa ♥️. I came up with that name based on what the Spirit of the Lord spoke to me in 1994. I was seeking him about direction for my future. He responded to me " I will cause much wealth to come into your hands but you must humble yourself." I did a study on the word "humble" and I found in the OT every time a king took the throne and God blessed him he would either do evil in the sight of the Lord or he would do evil and would continue or be humbled. I responded, "Humble myself? Humble myself? Lord, I don't have anything. ( I had no net worth,. no assets, an income that was insufficient to the point where I had nothing left over after tithing, and living expenses. I didn't understand that directive but the Spirit spoke to me a second time saying, "The more I increase you the more you must humble yourself." That is how I came up with the name based on I Peter 5:6, "Humble yourself under the mighty hand of God, that in due season he will exalt you." It is my Great reminder of God's promise to me. Still walking in faith 25 years later until manifestation meets me. I have so much to share bit I can't do it here about God's faithfulness. May you continue in the faith my sister.

We must judge things we hear that we believe the Spirit is speaking even if it was a manifestation of Christ coming to you personally. Judge what the Spirit said to you. Does it or will it glorify the Father? And add to the Body of Christ by saving souls? Is it in line with scripture? Is it a doctrine that is in line with the Word? Judge the directive or teaching. Christ will not glorify himself nor contradict the Word. He is the WORD. I say this to you humbly my sister in the name of our Lord. I am not asking for you reply to me. Just judge it in this manner. A beloved minister of the Gospel in OK began to teach that there is no "hell". His ministry was no more in 3 years. His spiritual mentor asked him was he sure that he heard from the Lord. What he taught was a contradiction to what CHRIST taught. Jesus taught that hell exists to his disciples. He told the parable of Lazarus and the Rich man. He also taught that in hell the fire is not quenched and the worm does not die. This minister was in direct error to written scripture and teaching of Jesus.

Christian meditation isn't thinking nothing. That's eastern mysticism. Dangerous. I know what you mean though... we have THAT through praise worship & renewing the mind with the WORD. Higher Power stuff in recovery group s can be tricky... some unwittingly have opened themselves up to any ol' SPOOK in the atmosphere. Concerning personal words not specifically addressed in Scripture... wait & see and in the 'multitude of counselors there is safety!'

Christians aren't to be 'still' by EMPTIEING the mind. Be still and KNOW....

@@wayneingram7381 Thats where the Heart comes in... still ur mind and Feel with ur Heart the Love of the Father who himself is Love. Secondly knowing is certainty and certainty is majority if not all feeling which is the absence of fear and doubt. Thus do not lean into ur own understanding but Trust the Lord with all ur Heart.

I've been experiencing these things and God has me digging into the root stuff and helping me face inner traumas wth an increasing revelation of His goodness and kindness... I even learned self deliverance with j. LeClair and the mental clusters have left. I'm free!

The inward witness, Christ in YOU is your primary guide in all things pertaining to life & godliness. Without the confirmation of your own spirit (remember you are 'one spirit with Christ') - forget it!
