Pressing the eject button on Dubois was clearly the bast move Chevy did to help this team. I'm not a Winnipeg fan but I do want to see them do well, and definitely don't want to see them relocated

@@sjdrifter72 I don't think the media hates the Jets, I think If you were a fan of a bigger market you'd find that the hate for those markets is 100x worse lol. The leafs get alot of praise but for all the praise they get absolutely destroyed for every single tiny mistake. It maybe similar for the Jets, but it's bi polar to say the least..

Oilers 1a, Jets 1b fan here and I love this move and really have a good feeling for both teams going into the playoffs. I just hope not too many of the Canadian teams end up meeting in the first round because honestly Vancouver, Edmonton and Winnipeg all look like they are poised for a deep run.

Agreed man and its looking good with the canucks in that number 1 spot and edmonton right behind them its pretty clear 1 of them will have that and the other will play vegas/la or whoever the 3rd seed will be and the jets are 100% going to be playing either the stars or avalanche unless they get 1st in the central and play a wildcard but couldnt see edmonton or canucks being a wildcard!

Dont be so sure. The more I think about it, PLD has is own issues, and would be more worried about himself being an 8.5 million dollar fraud atm... more worried about LA barely hanging on to a wild card spot the last couple months... PLD is just WAY too easy of an answer for me... I think it's Dallas. More likely Benn or pavelski. The history with Bones apparently wasn't fantastic. Which is why he was out so shortly after a cup finals appearance. They didn't like him being harder on the established stars/leaders in the locker room... Especially when you consider Pavelski then apparently wanted his own old coach, deboer from his time with the sharks.. a much 'nicer' coach... Dallas has also had our number this year, which may have given them the confidence to say what they said to Whitney, feeling like they can exploit their old HC's system, and know how to get at the weaknesses in our system...

As a Canuck fan, I've very concerned with how Western contenders around us locked and loaded this trade deadline and we did very little. Lindholm was an early play, I get it, but teams around us upgraded significantly.

I’m an oil fan and good lord the west is stacked this season. Legitimately 5-6 true cup contenders and only one can make it to the finals. The west will be an absolute blood bath.

@@colebevans8939I actually work remotely from Vancouver for a company in Edmonton, so I talk Oilers all the time with my coworkers and when I visit. Glad you guys got back on track after the beginning of the season - morale was legit in the tank, as I was in Edmonton working for the beginning of the season and the vibes were obviously rough. Yes, will be a (fun) bloodbath as you say!

The Jets were my sleeper pick last year and they are my pick this year as well. They don't score like Dallas, Vancouver Edmonton or Colorado...but they give us less goals than any other team. Jet's will raise the cup

the biggest problem with the Jets going anywhere in the playoffs is having to face Colorado in the first round . Same with Vancouver , at this point they'd be facing Vegas in the first round and we all know how good Vegas can be !!!! If the Jets face the Avs in the first round , it's going to be a great first rd match at least !!!!

Ohhhhh let's not praise Chevy's moves. HE FINALLY pried open his deep wallet and made some deals, long long overdue. It also don't matter what he now does to this team, it won't bring fans back when ticket prices are out of touch with most Winnipeg. Arean's looking pretty spars for a playoff team.

I agree the Jets team game this year has been fantastic and they have a deep lineup. However, the Oilers have been very, very impressive. My worry for Canadian teams are Dallas and Vegas. They both are completely stacked. Colorado too, but they lost depth in recent years. The stars and the knights will be incredibly tough match ups though.

Look, no disrespect to Canucks fans or the franchise, as you guys have paid your dues in bad seasons, but, if any team are going to be playoff "frauds", it's Vancouver. They have zero playoff experience. The Jets have been there, and grown from their struggles. Vancouver will continue to get more and more deadly with each season, and who knows, nothing is impossible, and they could very well continue the hot play in the playoffs. Trend history though, says otherwise. To call WPG frauds, is absolutely hysterical. I'm not a primary WPG fan or anything, but this is a team that has developed and grown properly, through much struggle and adversity over the past few seasons, and I for one, wish them the very best these playoffs. The city and organization needs it, especially with all this talk about relocation....................... again.
