It works well for that and also before doing decorative stitches. Helps to keep them from puckering.

Sounds great but if advantageous to treat before cutting couldn't this mean treating one or two yards uncut? Just seems it would be cumbersome if you have to treat a large piece. And did I miss something ---- what about colors running when finished product laundered?

Looks good, but how is this different than starch?

That was exactly my thinking. I starch my pieces and especially smaller quilt pieces I will starch and iron twice. I can tell by Alex's reaction there is a big difference in treated and untreated. I wonder if we apply starch with the mister bottle if it makes any change....

So does this mean that Shelly no longer finds it necessary to pre wash her fabrics if using this product?

Shelley does wash all her fabrics. She wants to make sure all the dyes that will run, have. Then she treats to put back the amount of body that she wants.

Wow! A tad expensive but amazing nonetheless.

Question: So after piecing & quilting do we need to wash the product out? If so do we need to wash it out before binding or after bindi? Great product for cutting accurately, bias edges, piecing & embroidering.

It's up to you whether to wash it out or not. It's harmless.
