First mistake is thinking they can turn this into a story with FTR. Second mistake is giving the bucks a chance to cut one of their run of the mill, badly acted promos. Third mistake, TK being in charge.

Jack Perry should’ve been fired before wembley ever even happened. Not only did he cuss out Tony schiavone and the head of medical, he then immediately afterward disrespected Billy Gunn in an interview when asked if Billy Gunn was one of the veterans Perry took advice from saying “I don’t take advice from old men who don’t like Canadian destroyers.” Billy Gunn is a legend and a producer in the company and he s**ts on him in an interview. Jack Perry is in the wrong for a multitude of reasons. He was told not to do this by Tony schiavone AND the head of medical and he threw a tantrum and cussed them out. Tony went to cm punk for help because punk was the head Booker for collision. Punk told Perry if you wanna use real glass do it on dynamite. I don’t want it on my show. All you’re gonna do is hurt yourself, your partner who you do the stunt with, and you’ll p**s off the car rental company and make it harder for the other guys to rent cars in the future. Perry says ok and says he won’t do it. Then at wembly, at the biggest show they ever had he looks into the camera and calls punk out specifically “real glass, cry me a river” and when punk walks up to him and asks “dude what was this about, you said you weren’t gonna do this.” He tells him “yeah? Do something about it.” and punk did something about it. There is no line to be examined. There is no ambiguity. Jack Perry called punk out TWICE and punk reciprocated. End of story.

This turned me off from AEW. They really need to fix this petty behavior and it starts with Tony Khan. Heck, he wasn't even in the immediate vicinity and he said he felt like his life was in danger when there were multiple other wrestlers around. Just a complete joke.

Anyway, if anyone can be considered a "winner" in any of this, it's Drew McIntyre. Dude's probably got so much promo material from this sh*tshow...

I miss early AEW when it had fun stories and bits like the early dark order stuff, the stadium stampedes, MJF turning on Cody and so on. Now it is wrestler A is going to wrestle against wrestler B because it's a dream match and will give meltzer a chubby... or it was a story from a previous promotion that we are all just supposed to know about. Then now they have to use a former employee to gain some viewership.

There are rumours going around that the reason AEW is sending out copyright claims over the footage is not because they are claiming ownership of it, but because they may very well have broken UK Data Protection laws (as confirmed by Stephen P New) because in the UK (where AEW has a TV deal) you are not allowed to just randomly show CCTV footage to the masses without justifiable reason (and no, Tony being upset at Punk over a podcast is not a reason). Anyone seen on the footage could sue Tony because you are definitely not allowed to show peoples faces from CCTV without permission.

They made Punk's life so much easier by airing this footage. It happened the way he said it did. People in WWE will see that, and if they're on the fence about Punk, they'll be more willing to take him at his word.

Matt, Nick, and TK deserve each other. The rest of us deserve and have for a long time deserved an AEW without these three clowns.

Just like Punk said, AEW will always be around as long as Tony keeps putting money into it. AEW is not literally “dying” as they still have their core fans and Tony’s checkbook but from this moment on they cemented themselves as a big budget indy-minded mid tier niche promotion instead of the major competitor we were promised in its inception.

Do I think this incident will kill AEW? No, provided that Tony Khan learns something from this mess of his own creation. I dislike when someone tells the truth about something and we call it negativity. The truth is the truth and just because you don't like the truth doesn't mean that the truth is negative.

He did talk some negative about aew but he himself said whatever way you wanna spin it the positives overweighed the negatives there and he overall had a good experience in aew.. It wasn't like he was trying to bury the business he wished all of them well and just honestly voiced out what was lacking in aew.. Lot of people don't like honesty these days

All Tony had to say in response to Punk's comments were:- "I don't care what a guy who no longer for us says. He isn't my problem anymore". "Instead, I want to talk about the exciting talent we do have in AEW and about our big show coming up". Redirect the conversation back onto building up your company.

Hey, I like the videos but, one thing that you ALL should kind of do is when you're saying that someone said something about another person or company is add some context to it. Because I'm noticing that you guys say CM Punk called Tony Khan a clown but forget to add, it was when the scuffle happened i.e. the backstage Wembley footage. Y'all kinda make it seem like he was burying Tony and talking negative about AEW the whole interview, he was answering question from the perspective of when he was there and was upset by everything happening to him and around him to others, etc. He said he liked Jack Perry but I think now it's obvious that The Bucks were getting in his ear and caused all of this, based on their past backstage actions.

I don't care what anyone says, that segment was super entertaining and did a great job at building toward their feud with FTR. It got nuclear heat outside of the AEW fanbase and the fans on the inside are laughing at everyone going insane over it. Also, Jack Perry just got heavy cheers in Chicago with NJPW and damn that entrance was amazing. There were definitely Punk chants but I wasn't expecting anyone to cheer him. Shows that they are really on to something with the Scapegoat gimmick. I am super excited to see Jack back in AEW.

I've said it before & I'll say it again - despite what low reading comprehension Zoomers & Zillennials think, I DON'T hate AEW. I want them to thrive. I want them to IMPROVE and stop being so desperate for online clout that they forget about actual viewers/wrestling fans in general. This moment just cemented that they not only never will change, they're probably only going to go downhill MORE. It's extremely sad, cuz WWE needs actual competition that they provided and a lot of talented people are on AEW that deserve better. Tony Kahn is little more than a money mark playing live wrestling dolls. The longer AEW goes on, the more cracks begin to show and I firmly believe that within the next 3-5 years, the company will be shuttered, bought out, or relegated to being a glorified indy promotion running venues a quarter of the size they’re running now if things keep going the way they have been.
