I HATE, just HATE when people very confidently talk about stuff they KNOW about which they have huge gaps of knowledge. When were Africans supposed to build a ship to save black people in the United States? The first African country to become free didn't get its freedom until 1957--nearly 100 years AFTER black people in the United States got their freedom. People, please stop listening to these people who have likely read little to no scholarship on any of these topics.

Africa is a continent. When White American settlers fought the British, they didn’t say “Fuck all of Europe.” There’s a difference between a continent that has more countries than Europe and an individual country. For starters, every African tribe and kingdom was not together. They didn’t even speak the same languages. If you have enough common sense to distinguish India, China, and Russia, what makes you think ALL OF AFRICA was one big family?

It is the information that is missing. America is still and will always be dominated by the White man and his culture maybe until 70 years , then dealing with Hispanics. @@poppapalpatine7659no they go to northern Africa or Europe. Especially because Europe has a better welfare which extends to every PERSON, not only citizens. For example: in Italy, if an immigrant is sick and they go to the hospital, they'll be treated. For free. Immigration in the past few years created a lot of tension both in Northern Africa (those Africans are not black, and are just as racist as Europeans) and Europe, because people go through stuff and they blame it on the immigrants, that are seen as parasites. Overall we don't really have deep rooted racism problems, the cases of beatings, abuses and shamings are relatively low. The funny part is that black Africans are usually very chill: they make noise, look funny, but don't create problems. Why am I saying this? Because northern africans, which have a lot to do with us Europeans and we've known each other since ever, are often more antisocial and annoying, yet they look almost the same as us. Let alone Slavs, who stormed Europe escaping prison and war in the 90s, but nobody really noticed because they looked very much like the rest of the whites. Those guys went through hell and don't blink twice before kicking your ass if they don't like you. The problem with america aren't blacks, police or guns. It's violence: if I were there I'd go around armed, it's easier to expect harm from someone than anything else. The thing I wish everyone understood is that you don't get along with someone based on how they look, there are many whites I can't put up with, and blacks or Moroccans that I call brothers.

Most black Americans have a least 20 Europe dna and a percentage of native dna. I am a black American, with two black American parents and 4 black American grandparents. My dna says I am only 42 percent African, am I still African or will we divide black Americans? You guys are clueless. I’ve had Africans to my face tell me I am not African and that they wouldn’t even consider me black. They then said they consider me colored (which I got offended until explained what they meant). Now this has happened to me multiple times. So I stop saying I’m “African” American and just say I’m black American. My thing is will only some black Americans get seen as Africans while others who look like me, Beyonce, Chris brown, Zendaya heck even other lighter skin blacks like Step Curry and his wife get told we aren’t considered black? We will have to split our own community here in the U.S. trying to fit into someone else’s. While we are similar to Africans we are not them. We have our own culture, history etc which in some way does connect to them but has branched off into something else, something different.

If u look up his history he is from Fort Worth, Texas, which isn't historically apart of Black British America, it is part of Black Latin America. The white Anglos in Washington DC stoled half of Texas from the Mexicans & the other half from the Cubans that occupied it since Spanish Times. Since he is from the Cuban side he is what u call Louisiana Creole because the Cubans came there and mixed with the other people that was there into a new people Louisiana Creole. Think of the same people as New Orleans, Louisiana. So basically he is a Black Latino based on the geography of his ancestry, but don't fret Black Latinos are just like us Black Americans a lot of us are family literally and figuratively and love each other 🙂. As a Ghanaian sometimes it saddens my heart because growing up in Ghana, i see how Africans love and are willing to welcome our African Americans back home. however, if both side don't take into consideration the wrong information we've been fed to keep us apart.

Not really. Tribes across Africa hate each other and fight each other. You cant blame the white man for every black problem. Black people have more rights and privileges in white countries than ANY black country. Thats why all the immigrants want to live there. Nobody moves to Africa for a better life, Africa is full of tribal violence, oppression of women and girls, child marriage, FGM, and many other horrors.

A lot of what Charleston says is a troll. At the same time though, a white American is nothing like a white person from the UK or Germany (culturally). A lot of Americans period (regardless of ethnicity) are removed from their original culture. At the end of the day, we're all humans though.

Oh boy.

Im like if the first Moors came from Africa and knew about navigating the seas then why the fuck didnt none of the Africans come over here and rescue us and pretty much we had to rescue ourselves. We, as Black Americans, should be proud of ourselves for being able to make it through all of that history we've been through and still here till this day. Remember only the strong survive.

I used to work at ATT as a tech and met a guy from Kenya. While installing his internet we chatted a lot. Eventually he stop me and got very serious. He apologized profusely for not liking black ppl. I was confused. He said in the media in Africa they portray blacks in America as lazy ungrateful thugs. He grew up thinking America was full of rich ppl and it was easy to make it here. Literally told me he thought he could find money in the trash here when he was a kid. Now he regrets that and hates it here bcuz you have to work so hard. In his country he can afford maids and stuff but here he has to do it himself. If was a wild convo.

Dude gotta realize that the term "African-American" is the most popular misnomer we are called today; I say that because African-Americans don’t even share ties with Africa except for the fact we look alike. The so called "African-Americans" are the aboriginals of America or the American Indians. Our grandparents will either tell you or say they don’t know. That’s why Africans don’t fuck with us, because we go over there acting like them when we not even them. But when you tell people this now they just don’t listen. It has nothing to do with me "hating my own people" because they’re not. Just because you have dark skin with wooly hair does NOT make you African. It just doesn’t, folks.
