As the prospect of mass implementation of artificial intelligence begins to alter realistic expectations of its impacts (large and small, positive and negative), the consequences for the business community are only just beginning to be imagined. Unlike the internet, AI is not a new industry - yet its application will radically alter industry. Says one CEO, “Everything invented in the past 150 years will be reinvented using AI within the next 15 years.” But what does this really mean?

If you had a high trust society you wouldn't need super complicated ways to avoid unsavory people...

These guys would be sitting on this stage pontificating if it weren't for the sacrifice and legislated wisdom of those of our founders. They speak of solar power but not all the spraying blocking its efficiency. Read CIA Anderson Cooper's book? WTF?

If you are going to solve the problem of human poverty, you must find the root of human poverty and change that variable. Why are the majority of poor people poor? In developed countries it is because of learned dependence. Unless we teach people a better way that a handout, poverty will remain.

There is indeed a need to renovate the way we see & approach things/life. In my humble opinion, the problem is at least partly due to population rising coupled with technological advancement & innovation. The need for human labor is slowly dwindling in many fields, while population continues to rise. (not just in America, the number of humans world-wide is rising) This disparity will only continue to develop over time. Eventually, humanity will need to update its software.

The notion of education (together with infrastructure and defense) is indeed key. Shame not everyone believes and devotes federal and state monies towards this highly valued and much needed aim. Unfortunately there’s money to be made and position to gain and hold by keeping the majority below par.

Can anyone precisely and uniquely explain what constitutes human i"ntelligence", leave alone "artificial" that's sheer jargon!we have to go a long long...way before to understand how that small volume of gray matter contained in approx.64 c.inches (4in×4in×4 in ) volume receives..processes signals!let us be clear that the most sophisticated machine with hundreds of severs occupying football fields do not have the intelligence of a six month old child!let's not hype up by using this jargon A"intelligence" and machine "learning"....bla...bla !when we first went to school , we were told that there are only two distinct things that we see around..the " living " and "nonliving" and that these two the " intelligence" and "learning" are the attributes of living ! it's only appropriate to characterise them with automation .the whole episode reminds one of the age old legend of six blind men and the elephant!

Imagine if we spent all the climate fraud monies on human education and poverty, and abandoned our would be social engineering meddlers at the door, then released all the suppressed technologies we've payed for but are hidden from us? Imagine.
