He just needs to bulk up again. His style worked because his chaotic attack pattern meant he hit you before you hit him, after which you'd go to sleep. He lost soooo much mass around the chest and neck and shoulders after that injury, and all his power went with it. If he hasn't gotten his old weight back, he's losing again. If he was the same Jiri that he was in his earlier career, like the one that fought Reyes or Oezdemir, he'd have already won the first fight.

Clean fist and leg exchange give Alex way too much of a freebie. If Jiri wants to win, he MUST fight an actual MMA fight, which includes wrestling and BJJ. I will pick Jiri to win again, despite the first time being the wrong pick (due somewhat to a early stoppage). I also picked Izzy to win TWICE --- after seeing Izzy out classing Alex in their first two kickboxing matches before the UFC) ---- & I've been 50%-50% on Izzy. I've looked at both the Jiri-Alex and Izzy-Alex permutations. Alex has a slight POWER advantage, but if either Izzy or Jiri touches Poatan clean, he WILL also go down. And while Izzy is just like Poatan, in that he doesn't have elite a serious wrestling-BJJ dimension to his MMA, Jiri does have those skills. Jiri may be 1-2 inches shorter than Alex, but the dude is no way a "small man next to Alex." He's a big, powerful dude. His unorthodox style gets him in trouble; but it also is the style most opponents find HARD to gauge. At 31 & with a good fight in between, with there being no issue with his shoulder injury... I think he's more ready this time, tactically, mentally, and physically.
