Black Spiderman Your biased, black identity politics, is showing. Serena is “strong” at many levels, as are a number of nonblack women, so your coloration of the term is weak. Physically, she is an incredible athlete, approaching the strength and serve velocity of many males on tour. She is also strong in her degree of self confidence, and of course, she is financially powerful and commands attention as a rich athlete with many titles. So what’s your agenda?

@@blackspiderman1887 You have a point. I think the best answer is that it's meaning must also take into account the context where it is used. I would challenge Inanna Lynch's definition as Serena was not successful without the association of a man, and we all live in a 'village' where we are co-dependent on the people around us. And even a woman who was dependent on romantic relationships could still be strong. Perhaps a strong woman is simply one who rejects the notion she is the 'weaker sex'?

Omid Saranj I don't think he thought she was the one exactly in that moment, but maybe he felt like they both felt more comfortable with each other that they could open up to each other more honestly. The way he explained that he was trying to play cool I think he didn't want her to think he liked her too much in case she only saw him as an acquaintance and would scare her off by being too forward.

Mike Creigton Not the money dude, 10mil is nothing compared to hers. It’s the ideas that made him that money that gave him a chance. If he weren’t speaking at the conference he’d have 0 chance. You can’t just be nice, you have to offer something and in his case he offers intelligence.

The two most important things he did. Was get rich... and be a dick... that's how he got her... A nice guy would have moved his table.. a nice guy would have asked if she wanted to go to the zoo. Not told her.. a nice guy would have been honest and not lied and pretended to be too busy to see her... I am a nice guy. Women don't like nice guys. We truly finish last. Not many venture capitalists are nice guys. They are quite literally opportunists by trade. He said as much in the interview.. he saw an opportunity to secure the bag. And he took it. His marriage is basically a merger and aquisition play... that's why the baby came IMMEDIATELY.. good for him. Now he has fame and is getting a bigger bag from that by making these appearances. Good for him..

At the time they met 6years ago, Serena had way more millions than Alexis, but he's now done a lot more investing, paid speaking ingagements, etc. He's doing well on aquiring more funds, but so is Serena and they don't have a competition about who gets the most money.. A few years ago after Olympia was born, Serena wanted good Italian food for dinner, so he chartered a private jet and they flew to Italy for dinner! How frickin cool is that! 👏🏽👍🏽👌🏽🤩🎉 No waiting at the airport for a plane is what did it for me!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💝

Wow. I have heard Serena talk about Alexis, have seen him w/ her in pictures and knew he cofounded Reddit (something I use often), but never came upon an interview with the man before. He is so interesting and seemingly laid-back, calm, intelligent, fun, spontaneous, down to earth, etc. Lots of good qualities he seems to possess, as does Serena. I totally get their relationship. Not that I thought about it before or anything, but the two of them come across as lovely people and just perfect for each other. She’s a fantastic role model for young people and he appears to be one, as well. Great interview! Always love interviews that feature people I have never heard from before. Doesn’t happen often, due to celebrity “news” being given to us nonstop 24/7 these days. Thanks! 💁🏼‍♀️

Turns out 6'5" Alex Ohanian played defensive tackle in football. & Serena Williams gave her victory speech in French after winning the French Open. She spoke in Italian after winning in Rome. She spoke in Spanish in Madrid. Serena's an athletic nerd, too. Despite her humble description of them as "different," Serena and Alex are both brilliant, humorous, globetrotting people.

I saw them when she was pregnant and my first thought was... Absolutely BEAUTIFUL couple.. She was glowing., he was freaking glowing more than an 8mth pregnant wife could be.. Their daughter is just as gorgeous as they are.. Opposites do attract and I'm living proof with my now FRAYING BEST DAMN FRIEND and husband of recently 2yrs.. We don't argue, we hear have this amazing friendship and connection that I had no idea you could have with a spouse even as someone with a degree in Forensic Psychology. Lol...
