VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
During Ramadan in Algiers, families wake early for Suhoor, a pre-dawn meal. At sunset, they break their fast with Iftar, often shared with neighbors or at mosques. Taraweeh prayers are held nightly, fostering spiritual connection. Ramadan also emphasizes charity, with many organizing Iftar meals for the less fortunate. The city buzzes with vibrant decorations and markets, fostering a sense of unity and gratitude among residents.

I’m Algerian I live in this city I’m glad there are some Algerians learning English it’s a begging but it’s good 👍🏻 Because we speak only some French due to the colonization and Arabic because we became Muslim after the Islamic conquests and of course amazigh our indigenous language I think you should visit not only Algiers the capital but also the other cities our country is huge with many traditions and a big culture We are a tribal society that’s why there’s thousands of traditions It will take you months to see everything 😂✌🏻

You should get out of town and visit the rest of the country. You will discover spectacular landscapes, superb places and monuments. Rent a car or take the train or plane and go on an adventure in the 54 wilayas of Algeria. It would be a shame to stay only in Algiers when you can also visit magnificent regions. For example, you are not very far from Chrea, near Algiers. Chrea is on the mountain. In winter it is a ski resort. I recommend you go there, the landscapes are magnificent. Horses roam freely, and you will have spectacular views from above. There are so many places to see in Algeria. It's a shame to only stay in the city

There has never been a "jewish era" in Algeria. After the fall of Andalusia in 1492 , the Jews in Spain fled the country with the Muslims because they had to choose between converting to christianity or leave the land. The majority of Muslims and Jews were then welcomed by the ottoman empire in Algeria and Tunisia. Some Jews also in Morocco. That building was just a synagogue built by those algerian Jews. That's it.

The Sidi Ghanem Mosque of Mila, formerly the Abou Al-Mouhajir Dinar Mosque, is a historic mosque located in the town of Mila, Algeria. It was built in 675 by Abu al-Mouhajir Dinar1, the emir of Ifriqiya, from 674 to 681 on behalf of the Umayyads. It was established near a Byzantine basilica, and includes many ancient materials (ornamental capitals, columns, etc.). It is also rather oriented towards the South, a unique feature in the Maghreb and which evokes the first mosques of the Machrek.

There was no jewish era brother in Algeria, it's just that jewish people where ever they go they claim ownership to the prestigious places, casbah is over a 1000 years old, so in the 1600 some jews lived in it and wanted to proclaim ownership so they drew the story of moses peace be upon him on the walls, Algerians eventually kicked them out, because they were causing problems, actually it's was a jewish family who betrayed Algeria, worked with the frensh to colonize it

@@halalxp Yes, they mostly went back to Algeria, their country of origin, (it was Tarik Ibn Ziad from the Aoures mountains of Algeria who conquered it) very little flee to Morocco and Tunisia, and actually Fes and murrakoush leaders ( back then, it was Fes and murrakoush) betrayed them they stole their belongings and sent them back to the Spanish, everything was documented, also the architecture in Andalousia, Grenada and Al hambra castle is Algerian dziri architecture, the castle of Al Alhambra was built by an Algerian family named Beni Naser who lived there until the 1400, there is a brother to this castle in Algeria, there is even a french historian who spoke about this. Before the colonization of the French, Algeria was built using this gorgeous architecture that was spread world wide, the French destroyed it all and built those you see today in Algiers, and other cities, the grand poste the French built it using the Dziri Architecture, a lot of this history is unknown to the general people in Algeria because of the old school system, but things are changing

At the 7:00 of this video the man tells you the zelige is the original one, but that was only pieces of mosaic sticked to the wall, there are no manufacturing company in Algeria who make zelige. The only country in the world who make zelige is Morocco especially Fès city, it's a traditional Moroccan product since 10 Centuries. If you travel one day to Morocco ask about it and you will know the truth.Good luck.

Ton pays existe depuis 1962.
