@@3vr1niieli This is a popular mentality in religious cultist beliefs. Die for your faith, defeat the enemy. The enemy of God is Lucifer and his Lords, those who are not with God either need to be converted or are an enemy of thine God. Point being, all cults say "faith is not easy, let your faith remain unshaken in our monastery beliefs. " Meanwhile, there was nothing there to begin with. Yet, this ideal has spread far and wide. Many people use this same formula today in kidnapping and cultist enslavement. Christians do it too, in the form of conversion camps, mission trips, charity which goes to further the agenda. In the end of the day, people do TRULY believe in this, and anything anyone says is a "test of faith." So this entire comment will more than likely fall on deaf ears, because just like everyone else, I do hope there is something in the afterlife. Just not everlasting pious service. "For what have we to give once coin and toil has been expended? Lest we are buried in tossed soil to be lamented." One day, all of our eyes will close, and when they open, I hope to see all of you. I wish to understand just as you all do. How optimistic it is however to believe that perhaps our eyes will open again?

False. The Island was called Patmos, not pathos. And it was neither John son of Zebedee nor John the Evangalist who wrote the book of revelation. It was a random guy (also named John) who had nothing do do with Jesus canonically speaking. For this reason, there has been much debate whether revelation should even be considered canon and included in the canonical Bible.

@@mmlwriter1 yes, I know that they all were prepared to give testimony by their death. So.... why exactly did WE had to die, if he didn't?" After all they were all still only humans.
@mmlwriter1Ай бұрын
@@s1b3r11 You think in the mode of equity. From that you would question why Elijah was taken and Elisha died. Why Daniel was saved and Stephen was stoned to death. That you got new shoes so I want new shoes is not the course we run as Christians. For some it is to die for your faith as a testimony. Others it is to live for your faith as a testimony. Each consequence has its purpose and we have not the discernment to question the decisions God makes for us for His purpose.
@s1b3r11Ай бұрын
@@mmlwriter1 first of all it's not really about equality but meaning. Daniel and Stephan can't be compared. Elisha and Elijah were also different from each other while all apostles were given the same mission by Jesus. In the new testament there are also few distinctions. Like Peter being singled out and chosen as the head of the church, then the fact that only Peter, John and James were allowed to witness transfiguration etc. So there are differences and no equality. The thing is.. they were all given the same mission as evident by Jesus' words. To share the Gospel. Now the persecution were prophesied and they all probably knew they had to give their lifes in order to give testimony and prove they weren't not making this up, since the God of the Bible doesn't enjoy torture for torture's sake. So I believe it would be the most logical and human reaction to have for the 11 to, upon meeting Jesus in heaven, be like 'yeah so you are telling us it wasn't necessary for us all to die in order to share the Gospel? And since you went out of your way to save John, can you please tell us again why did we have to die like that?'. I'm not saying there is no reason just that it would be the most logical reaction to have. And funny. Kind of in dark comedy sort of way.

Jesus died for our sins, was buried, then rose from the dead 3 days later so that we may have eternal life. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord & believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Repentance & baptism are also important!!) I pray & ask for eternal life, living water, & holy virgin olive oil over your family bloodline; in Jesus' name, Amen. 🙏🏻🖤✝️

The book After Acts: Exploring the Lives and Legends of the Apostles (Bryan Liftin) is a helpful resource to see what happened to the apostles, how much is legend, how much is historical fact, how much we know, how much we don't know, etc.

This is even more proof that Jesus is the living God. Men and women die for what they think is not lie. There is noone that dies FOR a lie unless these men witnessed Our Lords resurrection and was filled with the Holy Spirit.

Thank you to my brothers in arms on Memorial Day. I can only hope to have the opportunity to offer something as precious to my Master Yeshua. Remembering you all, can’t wait for our reunion. You were counted among fools but overthrew the darkness of Rome. Death comes for us all. All we can do is smile at him (through the Spirit). Wishing freedom from fear through Messiah to you all.

Wow; didn't people believe in prison sentences back then, or did the Rolling Stones do this ???
@heidibower253822 күн бұрын
These disciples were in and out of prison for preaching the gospel before their deaths. They didn't have the same sentences we have now a days. These apostles were not criminals. They just served Christ.

This makes me wonder if we all have it wrong and if the majority of us who claim to follow Jesus will be told to depart since none of us seem to take Christianity as serious as they did. They left every thing for Jesus and even died for their faith

John (cause of death): Old age, or boiled alive *WELL WHICH IS IT??* 😭
@s1b3r11Ай бұрын
Old age. There are some reports that he was boiled alive but generally people who believe that believe also that he survived it which terrified people who wanted to kill him so much that they stopped trying and exiled him instead.
@Issacandjacob27 күн бұрын
He survived the dunk into the boiling oil and so they just sent him to an island to hopefully die. Little did they know he was being given a message of their doom.

One of the first Japanese Christians in the 1600s also died a terrible death for his belief. He was made a saint for it and his mission in Japan. "My name is Nakaura, I went to Rome. I accept this great suffering, for the love of God"

Stephen was the first desciple martyred in Acts 7. Abel was the first martyred for pleasing God just like Jesus. In fact, the killing of Abel and Jesus are parallels that prove Ron Wyatt found the Ark of the Covenant. It's a long story and nobody ever wants to listen and nobody believes what I say. Good video. Thank you, Brother.

There’s more records (even from non Christian’s) of Jesus and his disciples than even the emperors during that time period. Do you doubt those emperor’s existence just because it was so long ago? How far back does a historical event have to take place before you find it credible?

So basically we sinned and did evil, so we deserve punishment but God came in human form and took it for us out of love. We can go to heaven if we believe in Him. And love Him (Grace through faith) Genesis 3, John 3:16-21, Ephesians 2:8-9

I heard in an Audio Book an interesting way a Christian should approach the dilemma of dying now, or staying in the world possibly longer than Christ wants: "Is it worth it to avoid danger and stay longer in a world that will ultimately fade away and eventualy your body will end too, or suffer only once and briefly and then spend eternity in love and happiness and in the Presence of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with no more pain and suffering ever again"
