There's countless examples of movies being inspired by songs or real life events. Even if an idea is original there is usually inspiration taken from something so to say you have never taken inspiration from anything ever in your life is just a bold faced lie.

He does however maintain that the ‘Roasts’ are intended to be controversial and inappropriate and that he would be a hypocrite if he openly condemned her. The biggest issue with her "dark humor" is that there is no punchline. None of it is framed as a joke. She just says things that are taboo or maybe off limits and gets more of a shock than an actual laugh. I've seen plenty of funny Alec Baldwin jokes but hers about don't look down his gun was just weird and not really a joke just a relevant shocking statement.
