Күн бұрынFrank Mars was called a failure. After several attempts to start a candy company, he went bankrupt. Three times. Fortunately, each attempt brought him closer to inventing the Mars company that now owns 11 billion-dollar brands.
When he was just a young child, he caught polio: a highly infectious disease that can lead to paralysis, breathing problems, and even death. Fortunately, Frank survived. But the battle left him disabled for the rest of his life.

I live in suburban Chicago and before there was Dove Chocolates, there was the Dove Candy Shop. I was last in there in the 80's - before they sold out to Mars - and you could get a big slab of ice cream on a stick (almost the size of a paperback book) dipped in chocolate - the original Dove Bar - for 95c.

I find it weird that's is such a coincidence most candy/soda/stuff related that became huge successes in the end while at the start it was a huge struggle. ... I've realized these types of companies are probably the hardest to raise. Wow, these guys are so lucky.

I use to work for mars in the 90s in slough Berkshire England ,it was the highest pay job I ever add ,ye0s you add to work shift work , it was hard work it was extraordinary place to work , it was like you on a spaceship headed to Mars it was out of this world, you get the opportunity to work in all those departments in the mars factory in slough Berkshire.,thank you mars .

What's even more interesting is the son who made it all possible, Forrest Mars only died in 1999 aged 95! So he got to see just how big and popular his products became, and his name was universally known.
