I was surprised to learn that opticians really bend the glasses to make it level again. I got it done for free at an optician where I wasn't even a customer. They bended the little mechanism, tightened the 2 legs, and cleaned it. I appreciated this so much that I bought my new glasses at that store.

Ohhhh if it were only that simple. I’ve been trying to get this pair to fit since June. Nothing works. They slide and hurt at the same time. I feel all they do is just put them in different positions without actually determining what’s needed. Totally frustrating experience, and I am saddled with a pair of 600 dollar glasses that no one can help me with. Seen 15 opticians already.

I have been putting off getting new glasses for literally over ten years, even though I need a stronger prescription, because I’ve had absolutely terrible experiences in the past trying to adjust to new frames being fitted correctly with the lenses being at a weird angle and distance from my eyes, making it really hard to focus properly. It always feels like my visual perception of reality is distorted or somehow warped. Even though I’m getting headaches and frequent migraines with zigzagging patterns, I’m kinda resigned to being stuck with my now quite old pair of glasses and increasingly poor eyesight!😔

I tried bending the arms at the hinge like you showed and it fucked up the arm. Thanks so much for that advice.🖕😡🖕 Other KZfaq channels have showed how you should heat up the plastic further down the arm using hot water or a hair dryer and bend it there.
