His body type meant that if he was ever out with injury, it took him a little longer than other players to get back to full match fitness. But once fit, he could maintain it. No muscle is stupid, he was very strong. His ball control and reading of his opponents movements enabled him to disguise any slight lack of agility. He still had great balance and could twist and turn. He just wasn't as agile as the most twinkle toed players around.

The greatest have a little something that separates them from the good players and Wayne belongs in that special club, Wayne, George Best, Denis Law, Bobby and Jack Charlton, Eric Cantona, Duncan Edward's, Ronaldo, Beckham, ...etc Thanks Mr Rooney for all the Golden moments from the Golden team in the Golden game.

Rooney has always been one of my favorite players even though I supposed to hate him as a Gooner. Rooney is just a guy that did everything we wanted to do on a pitch as a kid, he could tackle, could ran through the whole team with his strength, scored screamers, dribbled pass 2 3 people,... aren't we all fantasize to do all of that when we play. Unlike Cr7, Messi, Ronaldinho,... everything he did seem like what all of us can do but yet so effective. Watched him play really bring out the kid in me, he was a brillian human played football vs bunch of aliens.

Rooney was proven absolutely correct - the lack of ambition began with the sale of Ronaldo and replacing him with Valencia. Van Persie practically won it on his own in 2013, we were so ordinary apart from him.
