The wheels on your skates are similar to the wheels on a car. Eventually you’ll need to replace them. I’m going to show you how to tell when your wheels need to be replaced, which wheels you should replace them with, and how to get more life out of your wheels.

i skate very hard wheels, and rotate often. I've found that a set of wheels can last a couple full years if you really fuss over the wheel for your skating style and rotate often. that said I have another tip for people who DO rotate a lot and it is LOCKTIGHT

One way to lengthen the life of your wheels is by using a different stopping method. The T method and push stop will damage the side of your wheels more than a spin, step, or heel brake will. If you use the T method and push shot regularly, make sure to rotate the wheels regularly. With the T or push stop, you grind one side of the wheel, so rotating the wheel makes it so that grind both sides at a relatively equal rate.

My GF rollerblades have 76mm diameter ones and since I need to buy new roller blades, the shop sells them with 80mm diameter ones...Can I just repace the 80mm by 74mm once they are worn out ? Tks !

All skate bearings (skateboard, blades, etc.) Are the same. Bearing sizes can change dealing with other types of equipment though, not skate related. The wheel sizes differences in mm are depending on your frame size. You generally and usually want to keep the same wheel size your skates came with. It usually says MAX wheel size on the wheel frames on your skates. Ride safe. John ch. 3 and ch. 14 Matthew ch. 10, ch. 24 Revelation ch. 13-14, ch. 19-20 2 Peter ch. 2 Acts ch. 4 Psalms ch. 91, ch. 37 Holy Bible

What if you are on Oysi frames, how would you then rotate the wheels? And frame sizes! Please do an explainer about that. All UFS frames fits all UFS skates, but what do you get if yo go large, or if you go small? And what is the “most ideal” size per mondo size?
@BacktoBlading

That’s a great question. I would treat them as a double antirocker frame. So rotate and flip the outside wheels then rotate and flip the inside wheels. More videos to come, frame length and sizing definitely are on the list!

You seem to be the expert here..I bought some twister 110mm and noticed one of the wheels has a feta cheese like texture on the back wheel.. Given the skates were 6 months old even I bought them I figured it had something to do with hydrogen wheels consistency but now an wondering if the wheel is defective or dry rotting. The other wheels seem fine with maybe very slight bumps in them and a more smooth texture. The wheels only look to be worn maybe 2 or 3mm, so they still have a lot of life and I don't want to spend $75 on new wheels
@BacktoBlading

Yeah, it sounds like that wheel is just wearing faster than the others. Are usually find the last wheel takes more abuse. Could try rotating them to get a little more life, but those stock wheels aren’t going to last forever.
