Took one dose of this and was done! Worst headache I have ever had!!

I just got this today as prescribed by my doctor for my acne issue. It says that, take it with food and large galss of water. But I'm confused.. does it mean swallow it with food and then drink a large glass of water or should I just have it soon after food and then a glass of water? It would be a great help if you could respond please dr. 🙏

Got prescribed this for non-gonococcal urethritis. I'm taking 100 MG tab of Doxycycline 1 twice a day for 7 days. Have had insomnia ever since I started taking it. It's not listed as a side effect but I found a few other people who have had similar symptoms. Hopefully it goes away after the 7 days because I have never suffered from insomnia before.

I've had hydrogen dominant sibo for 5 months now. The doctor wants me to take Xifaxin, but I'm too scared to try. I learned the hard way that I'm allergic to Penecillins, certain forms of Nitrofurantoin, Flagyl, and Prednisone. I've been on Doxycycline once before when I had an abscessed tooth, and man it came in handy, and saved my life! I ended up getting that tooth extracted the next day.

Hello sir! I have a question sir... Doxycycline is an antibiotic and by using it for a long duration it may develop resistance to the individual. Say for example a patient used doxycycline for a month and discontinued... Now again the infection appeared and started to use doxycycline again for 1 week... Would it not develop resistance?

I got Vision snow after taking doxycycline for 10 days. It lasted months before my eyes got a little better I still have VS from it but I’m use to it now

My Doctor described this antibiotic to treat Folliculitis Decalvans in Scalp. He descriped it for the course of 3months (1 pill per day). I can say that is effective treatment and I noticed the effect from the first week. However, I suffered from severe diarrhea after 2 weeks of using it. Took this two weeks ago. Couldn’t figure out why I was crying all of a sudden, wait not crying BALLING like my whole family died. Curled up cradled in the corner. Panic attacks like I’ve never ever had, ANXIETY that was making my heart jump out of my chest. My whole body would tingle and get cold. I didn’t know how to communicate what was happening because everything felt like a cloudy dream. Plus thought loops and I’d kept repeating and repeating repeating the same shot in my head over n over n over. I kept thinking of killing myself and I didn’t know what was going on so I eliminated certain stuff hinges from what I was taking. Ibuprofen heart medication. So I called ambulance cuz I thought I was dying and they said it’s anxiety and doxycycline don’t do what I was having. Come to find out 10% of people who take this go through what I went through. I have ptsd now and I’m all fucked up emotionally and mentally. One of the worst weeks of my life. Please be careful taking this.

I need help someone pls, I just got these pills to treat chalmydia, I took my first pill this morning right when I woke up and felt fine an hour after taking it till I decided to eat a banana. Is this bad? Will my treatment not work since I threw it up within a hour? On day 3 I feel much,much, much better...I drink a lot of water too... I tell my friends which had COVID too so they started the same treatment...and all of them in day 2 feel much better... it's very strong- effective antibiotic...
