SSJ Vegeta here feels exactly how Golden Frieza was against Goku and Vegeta. Just so overconfident about his new form and power that there is no possible way he could lose and makes mistakes he probably wouldn't have otherwise.

The key to victory is always outsmarting the opponent. Vegeta could have surprise attacked with an early fully charged galic gun or fled the battle to rest and dramatically increased his power level from battle experience.

You know I have to give Dr. Gero credit where its due when he made the androids to kill Goku. He knew how strong Goku was in the saiyan saga, and even if he went off of goku's highest shown Kaioken to estimate how strong they would need to be he went and made them more then 10,000x as strong as they would of needed to be at that time he did NOT underestimate Goku at all.

Ultimately, Vegeta's cooked no matter what because, even if he pulls a miracle out of his ass and manages to overcome 18, 17's a good deal stronger than her and 16 is SUBSTANTIALLY stronger than both 17 and 18. Well, at least he'd have the moral victory of winning against one of them.

The reason that Android 18 didn't tank Vegeta blast was probably about her not wanting to ruin her outfit

17 actually indicates how Vegeta lost during his fight with Piccolo. "Youre doing good, so far... but how long can you keep that up." It's the Cap. America quote of, "I can do this all day." The infinite stamina will tire out opposition. Their blows will slowly diminish while the 'android' blows will not.

I feel this makes the huge assumption that 18 was trying the whole time. She never said she would to him unless you count the time she started shitting on him, in which there’s no confirmation she continued to do so. 18 could’ve simply been trying to have fun, which I believe was something that was stated too.

If you didn’t allow his emotions to get over him, he probably could’ve beat 18 but not only did his emotions hold them back. He said if he would’ve gone all out on an energy blast, he would’ve destroyed the earth.

I don’t think it’s just this vegeta had used quite a bit of energy chasing down gero and when he shot energy down to gero it was substantial enough to increase gero’s speed to be on SS Vegeta’s level and waste more energy trying to take down the lab door

Vegeta was playing with 19 and 20 was stronger than 19. 18 one shot 20. this puts her in range of tanking Vegeta at least. and we see that she has no bruises or bleeding after their interactions. she wears him down slowly because the androids in this timeline are kind. 16 thanks her for not killing anyone because she could've easily done so.

I'm not to sure about anything that what Vegeta has going on but one thing that I know is that is had a lot of pride

I said from the beginning that it should have gone something like this, but with Vegeta being much stronger than 18. She would be caught off guard and then have to resort to dodging and wearing Vegeta down until she finally gained the upper hand and could land strong blows on him. Unfortunately, I don't think Vegeta was portrayed as equal to or even close to 18. I think she was always much stronger than him from the start, and she only dodged and pulled punches in order to toy with him. She likely also knew his psychological profile and went for an attack on his pride, knowing he would lose his temper and make mistakes. It's also possible she was testing the super saiyan form to see its strengths and weaknesses in preparation for Goku. I like Vegeta and 18, but I think this fight was designed to hype up the androids at Vegeta's humiliating expense.

As a child I used to think Lazuli and Vegeta would get together. It made perfect sense. Vegeta loved fighting and loved fighting people stronger than him. A tactical vegeta could maybe get the better of 18 but it would be hella high difficulty. At best it’s a stalemate until he still burns out but he’d wouldn’t have gotten as humiliated as he did. Something to note too. Although ssj was obviously a major turning point it put all of them in a situation where they had to learn aspects of ki control all over again. It’s still a loss more likely.

I don't think even with infinite stamina it would make much difference, ignoring what people standing around say 18 pretty much toys with Vegeta the whole time. I think its worth remembering 18 should be weaker but still comparable to 17 who went toe to toe with Piccolo after fusion with Kami. Basically 18 probably wouldn't toy with Vegeta and stomp him once she was serious. I feel 17 is at most 20% more powerful and as little as 10% at least.

They were not close at all, Cyborg 18 was holding back the whole time, she was fighting without the intention to murk him. If it was future cyborg 18, Vegeta would have been finished off in a minute.

What I learned from this... ...Piccolo is the god damn manager.

I believe she was 1.5x stronger. 18 being stronger is what got in vegeta's head. Further in the beginning she avoided everything vegeta did in the beginning. Vegeta had to push himself and had more experience. That experience is why vegeta could keep up. Remember 17 and 18 have virtually no experience. And yes I believe he could have bridged that large gap if he fought well.

dbz vegeta is like a kid who lost his toys where DBS vegeta is a grown man and if only if dbz vegeta had the mindset of dbs vegeta Android 18 would lose by a mile hands down

With the knowledge of the androids having infinite energy, the Z fighters could've also change their fighting style, and opt for more of a wrestling or jiu-jitsu style, while targeting limbs or going for a rear naked choke.

This is why Trunks is the best Sayajin. Vegeta is too arrogant, Goku likes to play around, Gohan is either too pacific or too cocky...Trunks just want to be done with it, which makes his approach the most effective when he is not trying to save Vegeta.

SSJ Vegeta at this point is *significantly* more powerful than SSJ Trunks and I'll tell you why: - Trunks states that the Androids in this timeline are stronger than the Androids in his time. - Trunks is still not strong enough to take his Androids - Vegeta is strong enough to stand up to #18 This makes sense given that Vegeta is a grown ass man who has been through intensive training his entire life whereas Trunks is a teenager with less opportunity to access quality training. If Super Saiyan is a multiplier, Vegeta's base is far above Trunks' base and so SSJ Vegeta is far above SSJ Trunks. I say that to say this being the case, the fact that #17 can one shot Trunks is not evidence that he could do the same to Vegeta at that time or that he is *that* far above #18 in power. To this end, we know that #17 and #18 can be made to bleed when fighting evenly matched opponents. We see it when #17 and Piccolo fight. The very first hit #18 lands makes Vegeta bleed. Vegeta, on the other hand, is throwing haymakers the entire fight and not once does he do more than get dirt on her and ruin her clothes. She's playing with him the entire time. They aren't close.

It's true Vegeta got arrogant after achieving Super Saiyan, it's true Android 18 has more stamina and energy than Vegeta. It's true Vegeta managed to hold his own against the Androids. What made Android 18 defeated and humiliated Vegeta is she outsmarted him. It's true in Dragon Ball Z whoever has the higher power levels normally wins but sometimes having tactics and strategies to win fights is key and Android 18 knew she can outsmart Vegeta. Vegeta wouldn't fall for this obvious trap but because he's so overconfident on his Super Saiyan form he grossly underestimated 18 and made a lot of sloppy moves and as the the fight went on he lost his cool while 18 kept a cool head and got Vegeta where she wanted and won. I enjoy analysing fights especially in Dragon Ball Z. The more I studied the fights the more I learn something new. The point is Android 18 used tactics and outsmarted Vegeta to win the fight.
