Weak gun laws here in the U.S. are unlike any gun laws from around the world. With 29.7 deaths per one million people by firearms - that is more than any other developed country in the world. Watch this video to learn more about gun laws in other countries.

@@TheMarcusNyberg Firearm related death rates are meaningless as the vast majority of those are s+cide although the actual rate even in that is lower than the UK in places like Switzerland. In countries with more firearms people use those for the event, in countries that don't have easy access to firearms like Japan or the UK they use trains or tall buildings. The better statistic is to use is firearm rated Homicide rate per 100,000 population per year. I will use the year 2019. USA 3.15 per capita Mexico 20.68 per capita UK 0.02 per capita South Korea 0.00 per capita Japan 0.00 per capita Switzerland 0.13 per capita Czechia 0.01 per capita Austria 0.01 per capita So you on average twice as likely to be murdered with a firearm in the UK than you are in the countries with the most liberal gun laws in Europe.

Yes, we have guns. I have owned them since I was 11. There is no reason a person should not be able to buy a firearm if they are not felons and don't have mental issues. Telling someone they can't own a gun because you don't like them is wrong. Don't buy one if you don't like them. But if you feel you need one for self defense, hunting or sport then fine. Of course some will misuse guns and we have laws to deal with that. But contrast the self defense laws in Britain and France with the U.S. You have no right to self defense in those countries. All you can do is hope the criminal won't hurt you because you can't fight back. It's a bit different here.

I agree with what your saying mostly. I have one issue which effects me and should not which is that pesky felony. When I was 17 I crashed my car and it was in the middle of nowhere in Vermont close to the Canadian border in a small town called craftsbury so me and my 3 buddys had to walk at night in the middle of a 20-below winter night in Vermont USA in a blizzard and went and had a few bears after getting a ride after 3 hours of walking and freezing,I had 2-3 beers Then I went back to the car crash because I called home and they had heard of it and the cops were at the car and my parents as well so it was the right thing to do ,not thinking it was an issue that I drank a few beers after the crash they charged me with driving drunk ? I drank after the crash and they didn’t care and I was not even buzzed,I had only had my car and license for 2 weeks in 1997 when it happened . I was 17 years old. Then I got another false DUI form the same scumbag lying cop after having a few beers and getting pulled over and blew under the legal limit and I was old enough to drink by this time, then I got a real DUI I deserved in my mid 20s which was the only one I should have. Since I got 3 of them I was given a DUI felony in 2005 and at age 43 I still can’t legally own guns which is a crock. I grew up in Vermont hunting with my father siblings and many uncles and cousins and now I can only hunt with a bow or single shot black powder 50 caliber blunderbuss lol 😂 it’s so stupid. I would rather get shot with 20 different guns I can’t own over a arrow with a broad head or a .50 cal single shot muzzleloader which I can own ! My crime has NOTHNG to do with guns and I can get it reduced but it costs money and a lot from the last time I looked into it like 7k though it’s been years since I looked into it and it may be less now days but all they want is for me to pay them and I’ll get the old charges reduced and no longer have a DUI felony. I have no other crimes on my record and have got my license back since then to drive so that I can’t own a gun is silly.I don’t drink and don’t use drugs I was just a kid doing stupid shit . It’s a good thing I’m American because even as a Dui felon it’s still easy as pie to get guns. I know more then a few people I can pay $50 to walk into a gun shop and buy me any gun they sell along with suppressors. I can go and get a $10,000 Barrett sniper rifle if I want and the people buying them know I’ll never do anything stupid with them because I’m not a criminal by any stretch of the imagination ,I haven’t drank for 20 years. I also know more then a few people hard up for cash who have guns to sell so it’s NOTHNG to get them but I hate that it’s against the law for me to do so although it wouldn’t be if I had the money to buy my way out of it. I’m the person you want to have a gun that’s a fact. Growing up my dads 4 brothers and all they’re cousins always complemented my father on how great his sons were with gun control when hunting and how they never felt like they were in any danger in the woods and I was always made very happy seeing the pride in my dads eyes when they complimented him on how good he schooled his kids on proper gun safety and I’m still that person today and more. All that being said go on KZfaq and see all the idiots from American city’s or ghetto slum shit holes filled with rats playing freeze tag with guns making videos of themselves who have no business using guns. They look like complete morons and 90% of them are not of the white persuasion and all the guns they have are second hand and beat to shit and stollen or killed children by mistake with filed off serial numbers. At least all my guns are legal and all have serial numbers and stay in my gun safe until I target shoot or hunt deer moose birds and bears. Even then I can only use a bow or the ancient blunderbuss to hunt which is a pain in the balls.A good Mathew’s or top brand modern bow will cost you $600 to $1000 then you have to buy sights and arrows and breadhrads and trigger and glow knocks and quiver and whisker biscuit ,each arrow is $30-$40 with a broad head and if you miss you lose that money which when your done your $2000 into a bow your using during rifle season hunting deer .For that price I can buy and AR-15 and and a Glock.45 and a kel tech pmr 30 .22 mag which hold there values on re sale if I need money but a bow loses its value every season when they make the new model and then you can’t give them away . When I shoot I don’t miss and kill 7 years olds in a drive by shooting and I damn sure do not make stupid KZfaq videos showcasing my guns, guns are not toys for idiots and are made for competition shooting or killing that’s it and that’s all.I’m not against any colors of man but just look on line and you’ll see what Americas gun violence is all about, Not enough good fathers to raise sons right is the biggest issue and inner city gun violence over the dumbest shit like imagine slights or small disrespects or greed from to many idiots not willing to work for pay who use guns to kill the wrong people miss and murder there own kids. It makes us all look bad. Guns are a marvel and no different then collecting rare vintage pre ww1 dead ball era, baseball cards which I also love and collect along with vintage tobacco stuff like rare antique humidors. I’m very interested in old guns but also like having some new guns there awesome. You may as well ban knives if your going or ban guns, those without guns will kill with a knife and if they don’t have a knife they will use a rope to strangle you with, but you don’t see them trying to outlaw Rope or nanas sewing yarn 🧶.

I don't know about Australia but Japan and the UK are both notorious for having a "slasher" problem. They have a very low gun related crime rate due to guns being so regulated that there are very few in circulation but it doesn't seems to stop criminals who just resort to using knives instead.

You want to see relevant statistics?! Immediately after the Australian gun ban in 1996, violet crime spiked and did not return to pre-ban level for 6 years: www.aic.gov.au/statistics/violent%20crime.html Regardless of the gun ban, the Black market dumps firearms into the hands of criminals, thereby causing increased gun crime against disarmed civilians over a decade. freebeacon.com/issues/australia-sees-spike-in-gun-crime-despite-outright-ban/ In the past 6 years, legal firearm ownership has increased, which has NOT increased the level of gun crime. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3023260/Australians-guns-37-000-licenses-issued-five-years-NSW-American-pop-culture-blame.html

What does the American Revolution have to do with torpedo jones asinine comment? The colonials were armed. Their weapons were not "taken away." If people like you would actually read up on history, especially American history, rather than rely on Hollywood or Sean Hannity to formulate your false realities, you would actually know what you're talking about. The British were not "slaughtering" us or "torturing us." In fact they were pretty civil and their taxes were extremely low and reasonable. In fact, the majority of colonials were against the Revolution. Go read a book.

Are you fucking kidding me!? There was this thing called The battle of Concord in April 19, 1775. General Thomas Gage, the British the military governor of Massachusetts order the seizure of Colonial arms and ammunition at Concord. This began a bloody battle between the Red coats and the Massachusetts militia. It was the first Colonial Victory and was a major reason that convinced the Continental Congress to decided to declare Independence. Why don't you look up what happened to people even were thought of supporting the Revolution. I think the word "Torture" and "slaughter" comes to mind. In fact, The torture and slaughter of citizens by the Red coats was one of the biggest reasons many decided to fight them. You are a complete fucking moron! You see, in your original ignorant comment, you ask for a "How about give us an example in those history books where weapons were taken away from citizens followed by slaughter, torture and execution." Took me about 5 seconds. I think the entire war speaks for itself. Although your to stupid to understand it. Marcus Nyberg You honestly have to be trolling. Japan has one of the highest first-world suicide rates, and here's a hint: of course it's not by gun deaths. It's around 1.5 times that of the US per capita. Gun deaths in Japan paled in comparison to how many killed themselves in comparison to the amount suffering from hikikomori. Most suicides by elderly aren't even investigated by police. Refrain from your naive attempts at trying to offer any comparison of gun deaths regarding Japan. Guns are outlawed there, and somehow they have a more extensive suicide rate than most other first-world nations.

So what I think (this is my opinion on the matter) is that every country has a certain percentage of people from all over the world but European, Asian and other parts of the world have mostly one big percentage of population not just race but beliefs and ideology's we Americans believe in a more open free type of country while most other countries believe in Unity and everyone must be nice to each other, this is due to leadership and control (I know this sounds stupid) but the main thing is religion American's are a mostly Christan culture although we are not a hardcore love of god like Spain or Italy every country is used to a certain sense of security Americans feel secure when we have guns and everyone else feels secure when nobody has guns we are all different just depends on what we read or what we watch I personally love guns yes boneheads ruin it for the rest of us by mass shooting and gun related homicides but this is just like drugs, you ban one that was used by many and soon used for bad and then illegalized and then people switch to a new harder and more addictive drug to replace what they had and goes on for a cycle until boom shit hits the fan this has happened in the united kingdom and Japan, Japan has a massive Suicide rate and that is because it is a strict culture with rules of family and loyalty and the united kingdom I just don't know they're fucking weird man but they made they're guns illegal and really hard to get if you could get one so people switched to knives and acid attacks which are harder to track then to follow a gun and match the bullets used in the crime I don't know this is again my opinion.

In 1996 Australia population was 18 million today its 25.5 million but theres more guns than ever before in the hands of LAFO, approximately two hundred thousand guns get sold every year, yet gun violence is lower now than in 1996! But I don't believe the right to bear arms was meant so our grandfathers could have a gun to shoot a deer with.... But hey, that's just me

What a completely disingenuous, and maliciously false video.

It is painfully obvious that this is an anti-gun video...

I grew up in a family of gun enthusiasts and learned how to show at a very young age. It was a way for our father to share his hobby and to teach us to respect and appreciate guns. As a sport for target practice we all still own guns. But I do not advocate the majority of our population owning them, and I do not feel comfortable knowing people (who do have concealed licenses) who carry them constantly. The second amendment should be changed, as it was created when our society was in a different era with less laws and law enforcement. By the way, I am still a sharp shooter who still enjoys target practice as a sport, and I am also a 65 year old woman.
