That's how it's pronounced in current and former British colonies. "Aluminium" or "aluminum" are both acceptable spellings in English, it just depends which English-speaking country you were born in that determines the preference.

@@cityofabscissae spellings? You're dumb. You just said pronunciation but then switched to spelling. 😂 Even if they accept it doesn't make it the proper way to say it. How do you get that "ium" pronunciation from an "num" spelling? It's like people who pronounce washer as "worsher." 😂😂

@@jadenortiz2388, you might want to look inside a dictionary once in awhile know-it-all. It has two different spellings and two different pronunciations, but both are acceptable. "Washer" can only be said and spelled one way!
