J Hudson & Co have been making whistles in England for over a hundred years and can be found everywhere, even the Titanic, but how exactly are these tiny metal pieces able to make such loud noises?

Not only are these sports whistles, but even louder versions have been made as train guard's whistles for over 150 years- I have an original London and North Eastern Railway one dated 1931

I have the 58 and my kids have 1 each also 😅 here in korea most children have whistle they uses it for emergency purposes etc...

J Hudson's Acme Whistle factory is a couple hundred meters walk from where I live, walk past it all the time & see stock going out & always wonder where they're going, could be to some kid just to play with or something as important as a World Cup final

I don't think that these Pea Whistles are used anymore in sports, in FIFA they use the Molten Valkeen and in the NBA and NFL, they use the FOX40s ....

I still say that J . Hudson is The best.Greatings to my Old friend. Simon Topman.The pea Whistles Still safer to the ears .pealess are good but Unsafe for user and nearby Eears.I think FDA will regulat the use of pealess Whistles sooner.
