As someone who works at a food plant facility. The Dollar stores are referred to as 'third market sales'. And we sell our lesser quality/reject products to them. Being these meals are name brand, you best believe there is some quality issue going on with them that you would not experience if you bought them at Walmart!

I've bought on numerous occasions frozen asparagus at the Dollar Tree. It's sold under the label Jennifer's Garden. But I can see why it's so cheap. The stems are really thin, not those thick stems like you see in grocery stores. However, that has no effect on the nutritional value. I just need something healthy to eat with lunch, I don't care about the appearance. So, the Dollar Tree asparagus is a good deal for someone like me. Per ounce, it costs half as much as at the grocery store.

The best thing i've seen come out of banquet is the frozen fried chicken thigh tv dinner. Dirt cheap and uses what is clearly old hens that stopped laying, but its a zero tvp, real piece of bone-in thigh with a fried chicken skin thats surprisingly similar to what kfc used to be like, even with the fried chicken smell it gives off. Pretty greasy though. Point being if you are looking for something decent from banquet thats the choice i'd recommend. I don't know if dollar tree has it but plenty of other places do. Anyways its worth it if you're craving some decent fried chicken and don't want to pay a fortune at kfc or have to make it yourself

I love that thing. But I could use some ideas; too. Tater tots & chicken in its 1000 forms are great, but other meats make such a mess in there it's discouraging. And I don't like using 5 square feet of foil for every dish, either.

@@WhitneyAbrina it depends on what you cook. You go get that thing from your friend immediately! Get a big bag of tater tots (or wedges, or steak fries: my fave is crinkle cut usually but the air fryer doesn't do crinkle very well) for three bucks and go to town; you don't have to clean it at *ALL* after taters. Baked potatoes are heaven in there, and fast: wash em & rub em with oil & Kosher salt em for a crispy skin. I make boiled eggs in it, too; 6 minutes at 350, no water or anything. Chicken nuggets or tenders are both no cleanup. If you're willing to use 1 piece of tinfoil, frozen chicken breasts right outta the bag are ready in like 11 minutes. I start em for 1 minute so the seasonings will stick, then cook em at 360 for 8-9 minutes & let rest a minute or two. You can experiment or use a thermometer, but that's my method. I bought a jar of poultry seasoning & another of Cajun seasoning, I have baked chicken a LOT. Take out the foil, put soapy water in it & watch some KZfaq and it's not near as bad as I made it sound, I just hate using the foil every time. And I like to complain ha ha I also get a lot of use out of toaster waffles and frozen sausage patties. I start the sausage in there & when it's almost ready I throw my waffles in. Breakfast from frozen in like 8 minutes. If you get the pre-cooked sausage, no grease: or use that foil and again, zero cleanup. I love the thing, it's changed how I buy groceries. Sorry for writing War & Peace: Air Fryer Edition, but I want everybody to have an air fryer, Heidi!

Thank you Larry for doing tests, so we, the people, don't have to. OT: Have you heard of a "butter bell"? I have a couple of them, and (IMHO), they're WONDERFUL. You put butter in them, a bit of water, and the butter bell remains on your counter for up to 3 weeks-in the mean time, soft butter every day. (I have no interest in that product, other than I like it.)

I'm not gonna lie, when I order sausage, these are exactly what I want. I realize they're like bottom barrel in the sausage world, but it's what my grandparents made every Sunday when we visited

I've had all of these before. The weird, rubbery Brown 'N Serve sausages are definitely the weakest links in these meals. I will not be getting the pancake version again, because I had the same experience you did. The waffle and French toast ones are fine, and the mini hashbrowns are actually pretty good.

I recently bought these from my dollar store, I wasn't paying attention, and when I got home realized that they didn't have the potatoes anymore!! It was just french toast and sausage. Why remove the potatoes?? I used to get two of these and cook them in the oven and it was the perfect little breakfast for 2 dollars. I know there are bigger problems in the world but what the hell man!

First time seeing this video and your channel, I would recommend that you instead do a side by side comparison of all these three meals, but this time, you get two of each so that one that one you would eat from the oven and the other would be from the microwave, since most of the time it would usually come out much more soggy if you're eating these from a microwave.
