How bad is traffic in Indianapolis Indiana right now? If you're not from here and plan to move I can understand why this question would be on your mind. Especially if you're from a city that is notorious for traffic. Plus, Indianapolis Indiana isn't small... it surprises most as to how large it is. Since it's large does that mean the traffic is bad? Bad traffic is usually a combination of things. One of which is a person's perspective. What are they already used to? How will it compare to what we have here in Indianapolis, Indiana? Sometimes comparing traffic in Indianapolis to another city is fair while other times it isn't. We'll explore the subjective and the statistical in this video.

I moved to Indiana (I live in Chesterfield and work in Pendleton, so my commute is typically a breeze on I-69 between 334 and 219) from Los Angeles, so the times I go into Indianapolis, even when it's at its worst, always feels like no big deal compared to the freeway crush of the L.A. and Orange County metroplex. I've grown so spoiled to driving around here overall that if I ever go back to L.A., I think the daily bumper to bumper traffic would be excruciating, even though I grew up there and spent most of my adult life there, and it was just what I was used to for decades.

That third lane on 70 was so clutch for me. Cut my greenfield-nw Indy commute time considerably. Great videos

There is only ever traffic at all around when everyone is going and leaving work during the week. They need to unban light rail and build proper public transportation before things get out of hand in the future. Go to south Florida and there’s really bad traffic 24/7. As I was headed to the Miami Airport in bumper to bumper almost stopped traffic, there was a traffic patrol that blocked off the 5+ lane highway I was on and made everyone leave out the closest exit

I was caught in that yesterday as well. Accident. After that new interchange is finished it will be better.

Driving in Indianapolis / Carmel / Fishers is a treat compared to driving in Vegas. Not just traffic flow, but the drivers themselves seem much better there vs. Vegas.

I think it's funny to hear people complain about traffic in Indy. I was stationed in Southern California and moved here from Houston. Trust me, our traffic isn't bad at all!
