The flow of electrons provides an electric current that can be used to do work. To balance the flow of electrons, charged ions also flow through an electrolyte solution that is in contact with both electrodes. Voltage is the pressure from an electrical circuit's power source that pushes charged electrons (current) through a conducting loop, enabling them to do work such as illuminating a light. I am an ancient electrical engineer (graduate of 1968), and I found it quite useful and interesting. I think it would have been more useful if you had described about cathode anode material, electrolytes and separator. Thank you for such a great video.

Its a negatively charged particle, that orbits the nucleus of the atom in definite proportion with protons.

@@shobhitkumar9545 you are the dumbest one, there's no positively charged atom. An atom's charge is balanced by equal proportions of electrons and protons, an electron is negatively charged particle inside atom, orbiting the positively charged proton.
