Hate when people say “I don’t hate gay people, i just don’t agree with it”. Like ?? What is their to agree or disagree with? You’re either gay or not. People act like sexuality is a political party.

First things first we gotta address homophobia in our own community. We’re always just hidden. Like, a don’t ask don’t tell policy. There’s no reason why we can’t have open conversations about our lives with other people who look like us

Lil Durk tired of hearing that the black community is homophobic! Phobic means fear! We don’t fear any gays! Stop putting us all one category! We don’t like people telling us what to agree with! Respect our opinion if we don’t agree with ur same sex lifestyle! That doesn’t mean we hate gays! Stop making people out to be villain if they are not in agreement! Stop saying the black community! A lot of communities don’t agree with homosexuality! But if my child is gay, I will still love them regardless! It’s like when a person doesn’t agree with who their daughter/son is in a relationship with, that doesn’t mean they will turn their back on them! A lot of blacks, even in the black church has changed their viewpoints concerning gays the past decade, especially when Obama was in office! My dad and uncles had changed their views when they saw Obama support gays! They are in the 60’s and 70’s, would have been taboo discussing this with them 30 years ago! Stop lumping us together!

Actually racism, sexism etc. in the LGBTQ community goes beyond health. It's health, dating, spaces etc. White men are allowed to be face and dominant voice in the LGBTQ community. Blacks are starting to do their own pride events as a result of exclusion from others. Then there is the "preference" culture in gay male community (not sure about queer females), which is mainly code for people of color (mainly black men) being deemed less desirable in terms of looks and dating. Yet, black men are a sexual fetish for non-black men. And let's be clear, there are even gay black men that pull the preference card to justify only dating non-black men or light skin/racially ambiguous men. Because a lot of queer black men do play the preference game, it can make dating difficult and frustrating for gay black men when not only do non-black men (not all, but many) view black men as not desirable to date, but when colorist gay black men are also choosing to not date black men.

I am a 55yr old and still going very strong bisexual white man. I take offense at your supposition that white people that are not interested in black men for dating or sex are racist. What I have noticed is that black men, whether straight or not, do not want to have sex or relationships with other people of color. To get white dick is the ultimate prize. I don't know why you detest your own culture and look down on your own people. I thought black was supposed to be beautiful. White men have not placed themselves on a pedestal. It is the people that want sex with them that has placed a value on them. I think rather than complain at racism, you need to look inward as to why your culture is rejected by so many black men. And why gay black men seek validation from white men. Don't expect white men to fix your problems. You love your community and culture enough to start the institutions and venues for a vibrant black and gay community.

i've dated three black men in my life and it's very hard to be in one if you're gay and not black...i'm half-Filipino and half-white, so i already come from a mixed couple...but, honestly, i NEVER really thought about that fact once growing up or even into my adulthood, i NEVER really thought of myself as bi-racial (even though i obviously was)...i just thought of my parents as my parents and myself as myself...and i've dated white guys and not once was it ever discussed between the two of us that we were in a bi-racial relationship... but, being with a black man, it was a completely different story...they would always bring up the fact that he was black and i wasn't...the fact that my parents were in a bi-racial marriage...about how difficult it is being of two races and dating...and, if someone spoke to us in any manner that they thought was slightly questionable, it became an issue of race and that they felt targeted... ...after a while...i didn't feel like their boyfriend or the person who they could potentially spend the rest of their lives with anymore.... ...i felt like i had to constantly be either their biggest advocate....or their biggest adversary when defending myself and my background against theirs...it became a series of "no-win" situations... "you know they say that because i'm black" "you know they wouldn't say that if we weren't in an interracial relationship" "you don't understand because you're not black" everyday was a constant reminder that they were black and i was not...they just couldn't relax...it seemed like they were always on the defense...and it became exhausting...

Terence Heesch first and forth most I’m sorry you went through that experience because nobody should but I’m going to keep it real with you and say that all I’m reading from you is a mix of “me, me, me” and THIS is why I don’t date black/African American men and here’s WHY generalizing the entire mass together because of a small percentage when that’s not what the entire race is like. All that is doing is going against the intended conversation of this video. Every race has their struggles. That’s evident. But did you ever ask them why they felt the way that they did? Did you encourage them to go seek help from a mental health professional? And it seems like you have a certain “type” from your quote “exhausted” experience with the same kind of man. The common denominator only being their “black” isn’t enough and just perpetuates a stereotype because men come in all shapes, sizes, shades, personalities, interests, etc. There’s perfectly good sociological reasons why people think, act, and do the things they do but just chalking it up as a bad experience instead of a learning one doesn’t necessarily help in this case. Does that mean excuse the behavior? Of course not. But not calling it out or trying to figure it out makes it hard to be in the relationship with ANY race. You’re just making excuses.

@mjbaz1
@mjbaz1 3 жыл бұрын
@@ricardocantoral7672 I have noticed the same with some black folks I worked with. I would call that mindset 'racial inferiority'. One very attractive and sexy co-worker often would talk about perceived slights, and if the offender was white, it was always they were racist. But, she had no problem being totally racist herself, holding racist views of white people, jews, and everyone else. I was frankly shocked at her attitude that somehow she gets a pass to be what she seems to see hiding in every corner. That is, someone against her because of the color of her skin. The friendship wasn't destined to last long because sooner or later she would find something to hate about me. For her it was the fact that i'm a registered Republican. Oh, well. Maybe one day she'll judge people not by the color of their skin but the content of their character.

Being black is exhausting. You're tired of hearing abt, cool. We're tired of having to live it and see everything through the lense of race. When the 1st thing ppl see and base their judgments on is your skin color, everything becomes abt it. These conversations just show us time and again that black ppl whether they're queer or not, are alone in our fight

@@michaelbruno1330 like I said I pray you wake up in Jesus name and be delivered from satan's influence..The devil brainwashes people like a virus His control over them is total until they accept the cure to that virus Jesus Christ. Jesus was never married physically, was surrounded by men and women one who was an ex prostitute yet was without sin. They were His disciples His family , they had brother sister love. He is Fully God but also fully human, most of them forsook him when He was in the most fire circumstances and He even told peter not to fight so He could die on purpose. If God in flesh wouldn't sin what gives anyone the right to sin? You think.self worship is enlightenment and yet Jesus denied Himself to be righteous and be like the highest . He is God but in His humanity He had to struggle to deny temptation. He understood GOD is the highest goal of life and the purpose of our existence. To be more like Him even though we cant become Him, we are made in His image. The created must become more like what created it not less. In His divinity He understood how awesome the divine actually is as the infinite trinity, He understood that Gods value is beyond description, but in His humanity He still lived a fully human existence, knowing He could leave it any time to go back to Heaven but chose to stay in human form until He accomplished His goal of resisting the devils influence for 33 years. Deny yourself take up you're cross and follow Jesus Hes the only way Hes perfect . His love is agape truly unconditional sex don't equal love. You seek the love of a Father that is what God will offer you.

Nothing is being forced down your throat, and if it was, then what do you cal all the movies and tv shows with promiscuous women and men having sex/making out with the opposite gender? The problem is that you’re not used to the visibility and it makes you feel uncomfortable. But just because you’re uncomfortable doesn’t mean that we have to hide in the closet so that y’all feel comfortable. If I’m with my partner, I’m not caring how uncomfortable you feel because I feel comfortable. And vice verse with your partner.
