why does every company want to have it's own blockchain? like i would trust one run by a centralized company.

On the contrary. A single company cannot run its own blockchain. That is what makes it different from a centralized database. Each supply chain participant writes its own immutable block in the blockchan, and the other participants cannot tamper with those blocks.

i only trust blockchains that are publicly created and not run by or affiliated with any company. Like Ethereum, and Cardano and Nexus. I'm not going to trust one made by "SAP" company, because that is centralized control. It needs to be neutral.

Hello Shane. You are right about not trusting a database controlled by a single company. But that is not what Karl is talking about. It is not about a blockchain made by SAP. The company he represents, Morpheus.Network, provides a middleware that allows SAP users to use Ethereum and other blockchains.
