When I first heard Toxic, I was like" Hey! That sounds like a tune from Indian movies" . Then, I later thought " Na! Why will Britney Spears copy from India? I am sure they have never seen any Indian movie or heard any of it's songs" . This research video surprised me.

That's the map you get in a abroad when you search for india map. It's listed as disputed territory. when you go using VPN on Google maps any other country it shows it as disputed.

A bit of background on the movie "Ek Dujee ke liye". Its a remake of the movie "Marocharithra"( a telugu film) by the same actor and the director. Btw the Actor is Legendary Kamal Haasan. And the director is Balchander who is considered one of the best of the country. He gave debut to Rajinikanth after recognising he had something special about him. Balchander was known for movies with social messages & potrayal of women as smart, confident and intelligent during 70s & 80s.

We lifted a lot of tunes from the western music too. Music is like that isn't it? Inspiration can come from anywhere from any language. It doesn't matter you just have to catch the feeling of the song even if you don't understand the language.

The Toxic Lift was very easy to identify. when It came out I immediately told friends about it but they are all laughing! But never knew that Bond theme was from Indian theme too. Great.

It wasn't "STOLEN". It was based off a draft ray sent to universal. Happens all the time. And I don't see how bringing this up again and again does any good. Satyajit Ray eventually became one of the masters of his craft. And Spielberg also rightly deserves the praise he gets for his craft over the years and his unrivaled box office dominance. Some dickhead studio executives did this. And they are still doing it. Who cares man. Just enjoy Pather Panchai and ET at the same time

As you mentioned rightly.. similar incidents have happened in every film industry around the world, however due credits should always be given to concerned people.

To give credit where credit is due ... the award winning ‘‘Tere Mere ...’ song featured here is a straightforward adaptation from the Carnatic raga Shivaranjani. This evocative raga appears in several places including the well- know All India Radio opening tune (which a visiting European composer created using the same raaga).

Robert Plant from Led Zepplin singing is so related Indian style of singing, that is why it is different from other western singers. Jimmy or Plant say in their book, in England they used to walk thru Indian residences and hear Indian music. England copies a lot of Indian things, England took over India for over 200 years, same time they lost to George Washington in US.
