Footage filmed on Monday in Buffalo features snow-clearing vehicles in use as well as resident removing snow near their property.
"It's pretty bad, I live just a mile up the road, and it took a couple of minutes just to get down here," said one local, Nile.
Another resident, Mary, claimed that the type of snow is 'really dangerous' because locals 'can't plough it', 'can't drive through it', and 'can't shovel it'.
"And, we’re expected to get more, later on tonight. So, we're just trying to be a little bit proactive as much as we can," she added.
Official records show it to be the fifth highest three-day snowfall on record. Many vehicles attempting to drive around the Buffalo area were reported stuck on Friday and Saturday, due to impassible roads.
New York Governor Kathy Hochul declared a state of emergency for the Buffalo and Watertown areas.
At least two deaths were attributed to the storm in Erie county. According to New York officials, residents passed away due to heart attacks while trying to clear the snow.
