My curtains are always closed in my room so my room only gets to be three different light settings. One is day, any lights in my room dont need to be on. Two is nighttime (sleepiness). This is where I have slight light coming from strips at their lowest setting of brightness. Three is nighttime (3am). This is where my desk lamp is turned on. Im so used to these settings that my orientation of nighttime and daytime in my room is so mixed up that I love taking naps during day and staying up at night.

Hospitals are so lit up for many reasons, everything needs to be clean and white (that makes it reflect more light) , because of that they can inspect a patient easily. In a hospital the objective is to see everything more clearly Even if the patient doesn't want that attention on them.

Working in a supermarket head office decided to put these brighter led lights in deli and fruit veg. We complained to them within the first day as it was turning the meat dry and unappealing within a couple hours. We were told that we were lying and that the lights have nothing to do with meat turning. Few months later they sent out a memo to cover meats as the lights were drying the meat and to only put limited amounts out

Incredibly based. I also use sunglasses during class. My eyes aren’t that sensitive, but it’s just more comfortable with them. It also helps because I get uncomfortable with direct eye contact, so the reflective surface of the outside glass makes it so that I can look next to them without them thinking I’m not paying attention. Also helps a bit for migraines

The light level is not about beeing watched... its about beeing awake. In dim light you can dose off, not so with a 1000 lx! Offices in Germany are supposed to have 500 lx on the working areas/the table to be awake, but the rest of the office needs 300 lx I believe. Further not the entire hospital is lit at a 1000 lx. Only the specialised areas
