Short anwser: follow the instruction of parampara, through a bona fide initiator's instruction. Someone who is not a clean bhakta, you should not get initiated to anyway, since altho he may be advanced, he cannot represent their guru like that. Someone who cannot represent their master, not being a master of KC himself, trying to act like one, he will be a break in parampara. Those denying or missrepresentating people we shall know to be a big disgrace. So... Value real, bona fide gurus!!! :D They are the life air of KC preaching! As long as you follow the good and you follow well - any way that is going to be following Srila Prabhupada - then you will be elevated to happiness, and then more - and that is confirmed many times by realized souls. No ISKCON without A. C. B. Swami Prabhupada! Jaya Prabhupuda! Jaya Gaura bhakta vrnda! Hare Krisna! :)
