We loved our time in Oslob Cebu. After swimming with whale sharks, we took a boat out to Sumilon Island. It was absolutely stunning. The water was some of the clearest water we have ever seen. We captured beautiful footage with our cameras, GoPros, and Drone.
The Island is about 2 1/2 kilometers from the mainland, and sits on a coral reef with absolute crystal-clear water. We had fun climbing up the makeshift walkway and staircase to make our way over the the sandbar. Since it was high tide, the sand bar was covered with water. We decided to snorkeling, and it was awesome.
The coral reef at first seemed unimpressive, but the further we went, the more fish and coral there was. We saw some amazing things: clown fish, angel fish, and even a halibut. A couple of fish we had never seen before, so it was fun to discover those. Our guide was great and taught the kids how to blow perfect rings in the water. Sam mastered it did a beautiful ring for us. Enjoy this adventure with us with the unbelievable footage caught from above and below the surface of the water.
