February 24 our country woke up to flying rockets and explosions! The governmental authorities of the Russian Federation started a full-scale war against our country...
So many families leave the country and their pets are just left behind on the streets
We don't leave the country, we continue to feed stray dogs and rescue as many animals as we can
Please pray for Ukraine, please pray for us and our Furry Friends to be safe

My God, I started to tear up just seeing this. This is an awful thing...this man will answer to God for what he's done! That is the only thing I can hang onto. He is on the same level as Hitler!! God save Ukraine!!

This is Eastern Europe -- while it is worse now in Ukraine due to the war, generally the standard of how animals are regarded and treated is much lower there than in the West -- sadly, scenes like this would not be totally unexpected or surprising even in normal times

Everyone I know is signing petitions and pleading with the world to stop this disgusting and vindictive war. Animals are always the worst losers in a war. I’m glad to see Olena and her team are doing well under their present circumstances. Without their efforts some of these poor animals would probably parish. The work that these courageous people do has been made more difficult and more demanding. I sometimes wish I could lend a hand myself but I’m 75 and live in America. The only thing I can do is donate and wish them well.

It's possible the dogs know the sound of your car or the scent. Their senses are so acute. What a difference Olena is making. They're so hungry. Nearly the entire world is against Putin and this war against Ukraine. May God protect Olena as she goes about her mission of mercy. I pray every day for the people of Ukraine and Poland and other places the Ukrainians have evacuated to. May they be healed and protected and restored to their homes.

I don't know how anyone can they just leave their family member behind? I couldn't do it. I know there is war but I am carrying my baby with me or walking them on a lead. Along with my children and the clothes on my back, nothing else matters. Thankyou for feeding them, this is one of the saddest videos I have seen in a long time.

The streets are deserted, the dogs must be happy to see cars and people. They can smell food in your trunks a mile away, especially when they're hungry. In wartime, you stay behind and help in your own way, you're the fighters. Bless your valiant hearts.

Good job feeding these sweet dogs. Hopefully you feel cats too? People leaving encouraging comments to them are kind but the most important action is to donate $5, 10, 15, 20, or 40 because that buys bags of dog/cat food. Yes, I gave $40 two weeks ago.
