All of the plastic that has ever been created still exists in some form.
Some companies have created products that will break down in certain conditions.
Others have produced enzymes that do the work for us.

Senselessly! The reason is commerce and human greed. Humanity lived well without plastic and its components and chemicals in everyday life (plastic, detergents, etc. - everything that kills the flora and fauna of the planet). Alternatives - glass, paper, soda, etc. But commerce dictates its own (the clearest example is Teflon).

You want to go back to times of slavery, disease,poverty,uncleanliness.. Thats when plastics began and improved life on earth for humans dramatically..Glass is one of the biggest warmers on the planet, paper requires trees water time , to recycle paper takes even more energy..There is no instant fix. Rather than blow more hot air into the air try inventing something enviromentally friendly, resuble, bio degradable.. Instead of blaming coorp which was n still is fuelled by supply n demand by us ....

Easy, stop packaging and wrapping everything in the stores with it. There was a time when plastic wasn't prevalent not so long ago and manufacturers seemed to be able to stock the stores just fine. Its more expensive to use glass and metal containers that's what it really boils down to, greed.

The most logical course of action will be to sort out the problem at it's root. Simply use hemp and sugarcane to make plastic instead of petroleum based ingredients. Then there won't be any more problem :)

By holding the Gas Oil Petrol party and companies accountable for it all, since it's their lies and BS that keeps it coming to consumers too lazy and unwise to stop buying it and believing in "recycling," which is a scam!

the problem actually come to 1 thing, cost. plastic replacement are being researched for years now, but still no change in many places for plastic use. the cost of this replacement isn't as cheap as plastic itself. people might think the companies are to greed, but the actual people that will pay for the cost would be the consumer, and majority of people will choose cheaper products. imagine sudden price raise on everything just for the sake of zero plastic, well, i think we know already about the impact of "sudden price raise" to well. I know that the ideal would be eliminate one time used plastic, but still, until the cost is as low as those plastics, the problem will continue on

The plastic we have now , ( VERY MUCH) melting or whatever is necessary to make a massive rock . And use that as the basic for Islands , under healthy earth , sand or stones or cement ect . Or make low lands higher before all the oceans are to high to live there anymore , by melting ice everywhere That can happen very quick !

we did i can remember when all produce veg, fish, meat was sold to you in paper bags and bottled products came in glass bottles for which when returned you got a shilling back they were then returned to the factory cleaned and reused sometimes the old ways are better, milk was delivered to your door step in glass bottles empties were collected to be reused all on an electric vehicle. Now we charge down to the supermarket in gas guzzling vehicles to get 4 pints in a plastic container that has also been delivered to the supermarket using fossil fuel this is the price of progress.
